25.01.2022 Lets teach our children to love. Not indirectly, but explicitly, with language, with repetition, with demonstration and action, with peace and kindness, with generosity. We must teach them to care for another - at all opportunity. Its how we, as adults, can truly change the world. Its starts at home. Hug on the heart side. Dx

24.01.2022 So, I am sticking by this advice until further notice.... I wont be taking party bookings or holding any events. Not that I feel Im at risk, but my Dad is, and my Mother in Law.... I bet some of your family might be too. I have a booking for Tutus and Tiaras (supporting Brisbane Symphonic Band) on June 14th.... Ill make an event for it in hope. I can relate to many artists and arts workers who will find this time potentially difficult financially. Any tickets I have boug...ht for theatre and music shows shall be given to the artists and theatres.... lets do our bit (if we can afford to support arts industry). In the meantime - GRASSROOTS!! Simplify. Love. Music at home (Spotify fun!). Education in the kitchen with food (making bread and other simple foods). Fine motor skill development for our poppets. I look forward to painting, writing, and making. I look forward potentially home schooling for a time. What do you LOOK FORWARD TO in these times????

17.01.2022 Today is the last day of Danibelles performances at State Library of Queenslands Summer Festival. Youll find me in the Kuril Dhagan room on Level 1 from 2-3pm. There are some fab activities on all day for little ones, so come a little earlier or stay a little later to make books or bags.

11.01.2022 So, Im spending a few hours with a most lovely little one on this Wednesday - and other days forward. Having met Mum - on Saturday she told me her poppet liked trolls 2. Ive been removed from our of pop culture but I found it again and its rad. The lyric changes are sweet story telling pictures of Trolls that Wanna Have Fun. On Wednesday - the poppet and I will be Trolls having fun. ... This is not my best version - this is my Im learning the lyrics and first few times I heard it, version - and I like it except for an off beat Hey.... but wgaf Also. Breathe. Life can be beautiful in hard moments. Lets keep finding the beautiful moments with our kids.

11.01.2022 Hard day in the home office!! Currently uploading 12 new music, story and exercise videos, some colouring in illustrations for kids under 5. I am proud to say that I have created EVERYTHING for this. Played the instruments, recorded the music, edited the music, was videographer, performer and editor of videos and created all the content. Phew!! What a learning process - and Im pleased with the results. Ill be releasing the work to my subscribers tomorrow. Im trying to figu...re a new way to subscribe through Vimeo rather than Patreon (and YouTube cause YouTube isnt completely safe for little ones).... standby for that. I really wanna keep Danibelle alive in the hearts of the poppets... Not being able to perform live for the past few months has been devastating, not just for me - but all artists and arts workers. Trying my best to keep spirits up and creativity flowing. After the plague comes the renaissance!!!

08.01.2022 So, I announced on my private page that I have a new job but I just HAD TO TELL YOU CAUSE IM SO GRATEFUL. Its as exciting as PCYC days was to me. I am going to be teaching music, dance and drama at a BEAUTIFUL primary school two days a week until the end of the year. It is perfect, in a time like this. I cant wait to use the songs I have already created, perhaps create film clips with the kids. As a side project (not Education Queensland) I plan to work more with Sona Babajanyan (amazing Brisbane illustrator - search her) to turn songs into books. Im hoping shell help me figure out how to publish them... (Im not so great at organising that phase - anyone else offering help there can please contact me!!) In a time where there is much fear - May we create more and more waves of love!!! I look smug af here.... and Im proud of it!

08.01.2022 I have employed an illustrator to illustrate some new songs I have written!! I’ll need to find either a children’s book publisher or agent.... please - send me a DM if you know one (or are one ). I plan to put a QR code in the book so kids can listen and read at the same time. Also - With the decline in performance events, Danibelle is moving to a more ‘essential’ role (as politically described). I’m teaching Yr 7, 8 and 11 Music and Year 11 Film and TV Monday - Wednesday, ...as well as Drama to Year 1-3 on Thursday’s and Fridays. This is until the end of the year.
