25.01.2022 DCRC UPDATE We welcome aboard Jane Roberts, who replaces Sue Brown as Secretary and Jess Swayer, who replaces David Hurst as a committee member. I would like to take this opportunity to thank David Hurst and Sue Brown for all their time and valuable input over the last couple of years. Ric Ellison and Raelene Hurst continue their journey with us, renominating for another 2-year term. Jakob Duschka, Pauline Roberts, Andrew Viola, and Jenene Wasley remain on the committee with... one more year of their current term. Adele Scott remains as Treasurer. Bar Trading: The committee would like to thank all their members for their patience during these uncertain times. The committee has decided to keep opening days/times to the following. Wednesday CLOSED Friday 5pm 11pm Bar Trading, no Friday Night Teas Saturday CLOSED Sunday 11.30am 1.30pm Bart Trading Sunday PM CLOSED At this stage Friday Night Teas are still on hold. Once the number restrictions lift (Phase 5), we will attempt to reintroduce Friday Night Teas. Other Stuff: We have multiple maintenance issues we are attending to. If you notice anything around the club that needs attention, please report to bar staff, or contact one of our committee members. Quotes are being gathered for the bar replacement, we hope to have something to release for member input within the next month or so. We are still looking for a Gardener to tend to the garden. Thanks to all the hard work by Bev Blake the garden is at a minimal level, so maintenance would be (depending on season) average to approx. 5 hours/month. If this position interests you, please contact Emma Brooks. Thank you to those that have paid their membership. A list of unpaid members is on the notice board at the club. As any unpaid members as of June 30 become unfinancial and therefore required to pay an application fee to re-join, the committee have agreed to waive this fee to those still to pay. Like always if you wish to discuss anything, please do not hesitate to contact either myself or one of our committee members Thank you Emma Brooks

20.01.2022 Just a reminder to anyone that utilises the tennis courts in the evening, could you please ensure that the lights are switched off before you leave.
17.01.2022 Sincere apologies for the delay in determining the DCRC trading times in Phase 4. It is not as black & white as it seems, with many, many factors to consider. The Committee has taken as much time as needed to make an informed decision that will have the least effect on the DCRC as a business. Whilst these decisions will not be popular with some, they are made with good intention. School holidays start as at Friday, which is traditionally a quieter period with many members awa...y. The committee has agreed that during this time opening more shifts would be counter productive and would be worth waiting until end of holidays to revert to a more traditional opening pattern. Trading 01/07/2020-23/07/2020 Friday 5-7pm takeaway alcohol only Sunday 11.30-1.30 Wednesday 5-9pm Saturday trade was only attracting minimal patrons, so we have made the decision to close this shift and trial the Sunday lunch trade. Phase 4 restrictions are due to be lifted on Saturday 18th July, so once we receive further information on what that means to the DCRC we will revisit trading hours. Our hope is for the club to reopen Friday Trade on 24th July 2020, which will correspond with Friday Night Tea roster being reintroduced. More details will come closer to that date. The committee would like to thank the members for their continued patience during his time.
17.01.2022 Whilst we appreciate everyone’s concerns about opening times and meal opportunities, please know the committee is doing its best in these trying Covid-19 circumstances. Please remember the club needs to adhere to Government Guidelines and we are not in a position to make the rules to suit. We understand your frustrations, we feel it more than anyone. In these times we need to support each other & be kind. The committee will be meeting next Wednesday so will update you all on any changes to the current plan.

16.01.2022 DCRC OPENING HOURS UPDATE The DCRC will recommence Friday Bar Trading on the 24th July. However, with the State Government deciding NOT to enter Phase 5 in WA last week, number restrictions still apply, therefore we are unable to commence Friday Night Teas until this restriction lifts. With a low number of patrons attending some trading days, we have again tweaked the opening days.... Friday - FULL BAR FACILITIES- 5pm to 11.30, normal trade but with NO Friday Night Teas Sat - CLOSED Sunday AM - FULL BAR FACILITIES 11.30am-1.30pm Sunday PM - CLOSED Wednesday - CLOSED but available for meetings. Please contact Emma Brooks if you require bar access We again thank our members for their patience. Special thanks to our bar staff, who have been very adaptable to their shifts being opened/closed. You are a remarkable group of people. Stay safe

10.01.2022 ****IMPORTANT INFORMATION******* Revised DCRC Opening Times as at 09/06/2020 Fridays 5pm 7pm takeaway alcohol only... Saturday 5pm-10pm full bar facilities open Wednesday, Sunday AM Sunday PM Closed until further notice Although restrictions have eased, the DCRC find themselves with a few logistical issues to ensure State of Emergency Government guidelines/rules are adhered to. Our main issue is the number of patrons permitted in the club at any one time. On most shifts this would not be an issue, however, Friday Nights is of concern. Policing the number of people and the prospect of having to turn members away was a situation the committee were not prepared to find themselves, or put the volunteer bar staff in. Once further restriction lift, the committee will reassess the situation. On the flip side to this, the viability of opening the remainder shifts were in question. With costs of the COVID 19 cleaning schedule, opening these shifts would not be in the best financial interest of the DCRC in the current economic climate. The committee is fully aware of the importance of the DCRC in the community for social wellbeing, and these decisions have not been taken lightly. The guidelines from the government are extensive and penalties for not adhering to these are significant. Several regional businesses have been inspected and those not following protocol have had fines issued. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact Emma Brooks 0428 514 115
