22.01.2022 Feeling the love and gratitude from our beautiful little community today. I was presented this morning with a gorgeous gift of honey fresh from one of our families hives, bottled by Mr 5 himself, in his own bee suit! We took it with us to bush kinder to try on our damper.... Today marks the end of our Wednesday bush kinder experience with TAFE Early childhood education and care students and teachers. We’ll hopefully return really soon! But for now Yaarri yarrang Wawaa Guul! (Goodbye bush school) we’ll be back! We were gifted a beautiful activity bag with lemons, a gorgeous note and a fabulous lemonade recipe! I know what we are doing this hot afternoon. 21.01.2022 Bush kinder moments are special. Apart from the clear physical benefits of being active outdoors, being immersed in nature gives children the opportunity to learn with all their senses. The smell of campfire, mangrove mud, fish for the crab trap. The feeling of mud between toes, the rough bark and soft barks of different trees. Watching light trickle through the gum leaves warm faces. Tasting the Smokey flavours of damper cooked on sticks.... Bliss!
