15.01.2022 Permaculture Australia has developed this diagram to show where permaculture education could take you. At the moment the majority of courses available sit in the shell of the snail. Accredited training is available up to Diploma level. Where do you want your permaculture education journey to go? Let us know in a comment or message what courses you are looking at. More information on accredited training in Australia can be found here: https://permacultureaustralia.org.au/perm...aculture-education/ #permacultureaustralia

14.01.2022 When you do a Permaculture Design Certificate course with us, this is what you learn. Not every detail about how to grow every plant or how to dig a swale, but to recognise the patterns, make the connections and place all elements according to the intended outcome.

14.01.2022 We were really sad to cancel two of our scheduled PDC courses due to Covid this year. Our next course is running over three weekends in August and we are desperate to get back in the classroom. If you are interested in taking part in a Permaculture Design Certificate course, please head to https://www.peasperthpdc.com/courses to find out more and book.

13.01.2022 Loving my cards from Brenna Quinlan. I'm sure they'll brighten up some permie birthdays next year.

12.01.2022 Have to share this gem of the Grow-Vid series because - you guessed it - it features dandelions! These lovely plants (I refuse to call them weeds) grow prolifically in my garden, are used in every salad I make and are great for soil health, bees and our health as well. https://www.facebook.com/formidablevegetable/videos/1759204364216070/

11.01.2022 It's been quiet at Dandelion, with only the Certificate III in Permaculture being taught online. I have spend the time in my garden and studying hard for my Diploma in Sustainable Living, reading lots of Permaculture books in the process. This great song from Formidable Vegetable has given me a new boost to emerge again. Thanks Charlie, Mal, Kylie for the music and Brenna for the wonderful illustrations!

10.01.2022 Not sure where permaculture knowledge can lead you? There are many different opportunities for future food growers, as this article about Southampton Homestead and Jeff Pow shows: https://permacultureaustralia.org.au/grow-food-and-grow-fa/

10.01.2022 Is your new year’s resolution to be able to do something positive for the planet, to decrease your footprint, eat more healthily, grow your own food, to save water and power and recycle your waste, or maybe you would like to learn about how to build community in your neighbourhood? But where do you start? Permaculture can do all that. During the 10 days on this course, you will learn all of this and so much more. Previous students have loved the fun way this course has been delivered - you can read the reviews on our Facebook page. Make this 2020 the year you ACTION that new year’s resolution! We have 5 courses to choose from with part time and full-time options. https://www.peasperthpdc.com/courses

09.01.2022 If you live in the northern suburbs and want to learn more about what permaculture is without signing up for a whole PDC, this short intro might be for you!

07.01.2022 What's in a salad? Here at the Dandelion Garden, salads vary with the seasons, depending what's available in the garden. But no matter what month of the year, there are always between 5 and 15 different types of greens in them. At the moment there is cos lettuce, longevity spinach, Italian red-stemmed chicory, rainbow chard, mitsuba, wild rocket, nasturtium, soursop, sorrel, baby sun rose and, of course, dandelion leaves. Picking a leaf here and there makes all plants produce for a long time and gives us wonderfully diverse salads full of all the nutrients we need all year round.
