25.01.2022 Lovely face masks made by one of the learners. Thank you for sharing.

25.01.2022 Term 3 finishes Friday 18th September, once again this term has been quite different to what we are used to. The centre has been closed, staff have been working from home and our teachers are teaching online classes via Zoom. Term 4 will continue online beginning Monday 5th October, the centre will not be open for classes. This decision has been made because the risk is still too high - the safest action is to remain closed and continue with online learning. Our learners have... coped extremely well and enjoyed the online learning but are very keen to come back. We have missed the social interaction with them and members of the community, unfortunately that is the way it must be at this time. If you have any enquiries or are interested in English, Computers, Cooking & Baking, Woodwork, Aged Care and Child Care for Term 4, please email us [email protected]. Our website is being updated and there is a contact page to leave your information. www.dandenongclc.org.au You can also leave a message on our Facebook Page. Hope to see our current learners and some new learners in Term 4.

21.01.2022 The word Diwali means 'rows of lighted lamps'. Diwali is known as the 'festival of lights' because houses, shops and public places are decorated with small oil lamps called 'diyas'. Celebrates the triumph of light over dark and good over evil, and the blessings of victory, freedom, and enlightenment. Diwali always falls some time between October and November, but the exact date varies each year as the Hindu calendar is based on the Moon.

21.01.2022 We urgently need 16,000 additional people to give blood or plasma by the end of November. In particular our supplies of O+ and A+ blood have now dropped to less... than two day’s supply, meaning stocks of Australia’s two most common blood types are at risk. Even if you don’t know what blood type you have, we still need you. We need all blood types every day. See more
