17.01.2022 Congratulations to Dandenong Mulgrave Toastmasters completing 12 online meetings. Last nights meeting screen shot portrays the enthusiasm in the facial expressions. Since Toastmasters have got used to the new normal and learnt to develop communication and leadership to suite the new circumstances. I am sure being in the comfort of your own home to speak in front of an audience will be more relaxed than addressing life audience. It poses a challenge to deliver constructive e...valuations. My eye view is that our Dandenong Mulgrave Toastmasters are performing with flying colors. Cheers to the new committee. Keep up the good work. Wait for more posts in the coming weeks. See more

12.01.2022 Hello wonderful Dandenong-Mulgrave TM club members! Beside public speaking, is your greatest fear making a joke that no one will laugh at? Are you in awe of the skills of stand up comedians? Do you avoid to be funny for fear of failure? Fear not, we have you covered! Monday 11th May our meeting theme is: "laughter is the best medicine" featuring the amazing Henry as our Toastmaster and the incredible Nola Sharp as a guest for our "Meet the Toastmasters experts" session.... Nola is a powerhouse of energy and an experienced Toastmaster, and the winner of the 2019 District Humorous Contest. Nola will teach us how to inject humour in our speeches which is a skill that even experienced Toastmasters tend to shy away from. Please take 5 minutes to watch Nola's speech https://vimeo.com/341187984/e3fbb2930f so you can fully absorb the valuable learnings she will share with us. This is a rare opportunity to hear from the best when it comes to humour! At this meeting we will also hold the elections for the new committee. I cannot wait to welcome our new officers that will keep making Dandenong-Mulgrave a thriving club for all to grow. See you all on Monday night! 11.01.2022 Dear Dandenong-Mulgrave Toastmasters, Want to inject some variety in your Toastmasters meetings? Try participating at a contest! We have two fabulous nights of contests coming up: - Monday 14th September with table topics and evaluation contests... - Monday 28th September with humorous and international contests. I learned SO much from contests the first time I got involved that I am regularly attending these. Compete and experience the public speaking growth, or participate as an official and take notes on the speakers' abilities to get better yourself! Either way we need YOU to make these two nights fun and enjoyable. Please indicate whether you will participate or if you want to help using this link: https://docs.google.com//1s1MPM67zJiGqWQRTftAR8UmwCd/edit If this is your first time attending contests and you want more information before taking the (awesome) leap, click on this link: https://www.toastmasters.org/leadership-cen/speech-contests We want to hear from you before our next meeting, Monday 25th August. If you have any question, please reply to this email. Stay safe and warm everyone! Aurore Pont
