23.01.2022 The spectacular scenery of Kalbarri is the result of many millions of years of geological formation. Beneath the landscape are deep, horizontal bands of multi-coloured sands which were deposited in layers some 400 million years ago. The sedimentary rock formation found in the gorge and on the coast is called the Tumblagooda sandstone. Along the coast, wind and wave erosion has exposed the layers of the coastal cliffs that rise more than 100 metres above the ocean. From Red Bluff, extensive views south overlook colourful coastal limestone and sandstone ledges.

22.01.2022 Thursday evening's magic of a classic image of the Jurien Bay jetty in silhouette at sunset. Originally I was planning to shoot the sun before it set, but I found the second act much more appealing, which I hope you agree.

18.01.2022 One of my favourite wildflowers are the Calandrinias, they are commonly known as purslanes or redmaids and they are native to Australia and the Americas.

12.01.2022 Latest feature of two of my photos by ABC Midwest and Wheatbelt along with 2 other fantastic pics. I hope you got to enjoy Friday’s sunset spectacular too.

03.01.2022 One of the Leeman Ospreys from a few weeks back. Do you prefer the colour or black and white image? I like both for different reasons, but that's because I'm a bit biased (Please click on each photo for better viewing quality)

02.01.2022 It's been awhile since my last post, but the magical Christmas lights in Jurien Bay inspired me to get snapping. From myself here at Dandyman Images I hope you all have a joyful and safe festive season.
