19.01.2022 It’s been a big week but a good week! With the season tightening up at Kingswood we decided to send 9 decks of next years bulls away down south on agistment. Thanks ABH Transport for helping get them there.... With two 1,650km round trips completed it was great to see all the crops starting to come off! (what would be the first descent crops for many of them in years!) Plenty of oversized loads to dodge and headers seemed to be going full pelt in paddocks all the way! And it was basically a traffic jam at the grain terminals with trucks and augers and the towns a buzz also! Great to see the seasons turned around, it’s been way to long between drinks down there!

08.01.2022 When all you see advertised lately is prime 2yo sale bulls here is something a little different. One of the great sires from our herd, Dangarfield Tornado at 11 year of age photos taken 29.9.20. He does break the rumour that show bulls don’t last. He still has perfect feet and until the last couple of months held his condition all year.... Not many sires make it to old age in our herd. Let alone leave a legacy like this bloke! To date he has sired 39 sons through our auction ring to avg $8,948 plus many sold privately. In our sale last week he had the equal highest tally with 7 sons avg $10,428 in a sale that avg $9,200 But his real legacy is in the daughters he has left in our herd. They are one of the most consistent lines we have ever seen! It probably wouldn’t surprise some that he breeds great daughters, just check out his neck extention and length from hip to pin! Key for a great shaped cow! Tornado also returned a 98% preg test on his cows this last joining season. Tornado semen has been exported to 3 countries around the word and it gives us a thrill to see photos of them. R.I.P old mate

06.01.2022 Last week we said we had a BIG announcement to make, well.............. Here at Dangarfield we are always looking to try and help the up and coming in one way or another and this year we are looking forward to seeing a new auctioneer standing over a run of our bulls. Sarah Packer of TopX Roma will be selling a run through the middle of our sale. Sarah is a very good agent to deal with and she sells in the biggest saleyards in the Southern Hemisphere each week, she was also ...a state finalist for the young auctioneers competition held a Ekka a couple of years ago. With some great tutorage she has definitely earnt her start! But what we think is pretty neat is that we believe she will be the first female to sell stud stock in Australia and possibly the world!?!?! (although she did have a short run in Roma selling bulls last week for a warm up run before our sale) Sarah will be supported by not only us and the TopX crew but assisting her to conduct the auction will be Peter Brazier of GDL and Dane Pearce of Nutrien.

06.01.2022 Hard to beat the sight of happy & healthy cattle running, bucking & playing! Part of the 2020 auction team on their way to the yards this morning Our bulls were prepared with a mix from Williams Stockfeeds this year and we are very happy with how they have come along. ... Free moving bulls is an essential part of the entire puzzle! See more
