24.01.2022 Congratulations again to all the dancers that won an Ultimate Creative session with me through Perth Ballroom Challenge! I'm so excited that you all have your galleries and I can't wait to see your favourites! In the meantime, here's a sneak peak of some of my favourites, although I do love them all! It was absolutely working with all of you and I look forward to following all your dance journeys in future!! Thanks to Jana at Parker & Stone for always having an amazing space for me to work in. xx Danni
23.01.2022 Still on a high from Sunday's Zahira Crystals Perth Ballroom Challenge it's an absolute honour supporting this event 2 years running. Can't wait to share some of the amazing photos with you soon, but in the meantime here's some shots of the awards in action thanks to The Dance Connect
22.01.2022 Being a CREATIVE is a way of life! Comment if you agree A few years ago, people told me I needed to charge for all my work and to never do anything for free. ... After a while, I realised I had stopped shooting altogether for nearly a yr and had lost all my passion. As a business now, I definitely work majority paid jobs but sometimes I do a creative project and work with someone, just for me. To keep the passion going and exercise my creative ideas. So no matter the idea, I work anyway. I do it when I don't have to and I do it because I love it!! I spend most nights after work editing and planning and I wouldn't have it any other way!! Here's to all the hardworking creatives that never stop don't forget why you started!! See more
22.01.2022 Who else needed to read this??? Today I wanted to start a conversation with how mental health can affect you, when you're a passionate creative. When I was 15yo, my depression had a massive impact on life. Back then though, all I had was school, a casual job and a few hobbies. ... When I was 20yo, I had learned to partly manage my depression and now anxiety, but I was in my final year of tafe, thinking about how I didn't have a proper business and comparing myself to my top classmates. Some of them were a bit older, and had a better vision for what they wanted to do with their passion. But I didn't. Not then. I started seriously doubting myself and listening to that little voice in my head. Over the last 5 years I've worked full time in photography studios wondering what I'm meant to be doing with a skill that connects me to so many people. And there have been a lot of ups and downs. A lot of times when I have been hard on myself and once I nearly considored stopping photography all together. COMPARING yourself can be one of the most damaging things you can do, because CREATIVITY is NOT a competition. I am so grateful that 2020 has brought so many amazing, inspiring people in to my life and so many opportunites. I'm looking forward to the rest of my plans for this year. This is such an important message for me to share with everyone because no one should ever stop something they're passionate about. It keeps you alive. Find your team of cheerleaders to keep you going in those hard times and take care of your mental health so you can keep doing what you love See more
20.01.2022 Thanks to some amazing ladies, we have reached $2,222 today for the Cancer Council Wa
19.01.2022 Isn't laughing one of the best feelings????! Here's a PHOTO TIP: No one can tell you're nervous for a shoot if you laugh and have a good time which is why I keep things fun, lighthearted and make a total goof of myself This is @stephs_sun she laughs and can light up a room. She also wears awesomely funky socks ... We met at the last @alternatively.healthy brunch when she was a guest speaker talking about her amazing journey. She is honestly a ray of sunshine and it was so much fun doing our mini session last month. You should definitely follow her for endless positivity and awesome recipes!! The world definitely needs more of these vibes, and I'm more than happy to share it and hope it makes your weekend just that little bit brighter @ South Perth, Western Australia See more
19.01.2022 Some moments are priceless
19.01.2022 I LOVE MY JOB!!! Yesterday I was in the studio with 3 amazing ballroom juvenile couples and I had an absolute blast!! I am always entrigued by what preferences people have when it comes to photoshoots; Outfit choices, background options and it's completely personal preference. ... 2 of yesterday's couples absolutely LOVED this black background that Lucien and Sabrina used last year for the drama and contrast it created. It's definitelya different feel to the lighter background and I can't wait to see how they turn out! Would you choose the darker/moody backdrop for your photoshoot??? See more
17.01.2022 Congratulations to Daniel & Fiona for placing second in the Juvenile Open Latin at the Zahira Crystals Perth Ballroom Challenge. I'm so excited to be planning your photoshoot very soon in the studio!
15.01.2022 I'm so excited to be sponsoring the Zahira Crystals Perth Ballroom Challenge again this year In 2019, it was a privilage to sponsor the Youth Ballroom Event and be a part of the amazing energy on that day. The 3 place winners also had some incredible photoshoots to celebrate their achievements in the dance world!! This year, I will be sponsoring the Juvenile Latin category and I can't wait to see the skills they have on the dance floor!!!
14.01.2022 What you can capture with photography is amazing. Tell me which one of these made you laugh the most I love the first 2!
14.01.2022 Hey there It's been a while since I got to know you all a bit better. Here's more about me, and comment a fun fact about you or something you relate to I can't be trusted to go to officeworks alone and not walk out with brand new stationary I am very organised. To the point that my diary is colour coded with highlighters and post it notes ... I'm a total dog lover! I grew up with staffi x bullterriers and one day can't wait to have a hungarian vizula I even have my first dogs name tattooed on my ankle. I snort... if you get me laughing long enough. I'm not sure if I love it, but I still totally own it I've been running my photography business since 2013!! I was in 2nd yr tafe when I registered my ABN. Most of my growth has happened in recent years as I learn more about business but I love that I'll never stop doing something I'm passionate about. I don't believe you if you say you're not photogenic. We all have insecurities and badly timed photos but people I've found are so hard on themselves. To the point that they avoid photos!! And it makes me so sad. A photoshoot should be an uplifting and empowering experience. I don't just want to take photos of you, I want you to be able to say that you're beautiful and not feel the need to hide that confidence @eye.shoot.you.portraits See more
13.01.2022 LIPTEMBER Mini Sessions are here and we've already booked our first evening session!! I'm so excited to be organising something so fun and raising funds for something very close to my heart; Mental health After Dry July, I wanted to see how else I could use my photography to make a positive impact on people's lives. My mini sessions give people the opportunity to capture moments that might have otherwise gone by without celebration. And I think even the smallest thin...gs are worth celebrating. So throughout September, I will be holding photoshoots aimed to be fun, memorable and full of laughter as we celebrate doing something positive in this life with the people that deserve it the most because life is too short There will be drinks, cookies and music, so tag your bestie below and message me to book or if you have any more questions See more

Well deserved guys and I can't wait to organise your studio photoshoot! Zahira Crystals Perth Ballroom Challenge Perth Ballroom Challenge
11.01.2022 On SATURDAY we had our first LIPTEMBER sessions at @parkerandstone and it was nothing short of amazing!!! There are still spots available this weekend Angela and her daughter Ashleigh came in and @kisses mua touched up their makeup before jumping infront of the camera with their drinks. There was no stressing over poses or standing, we simply lost track of the amount of times we laughed and had so much fun taking turns to get the perfect wind hair flick Photograph...y has such a big impact, especially after it's happened. I am so glad I could capture these beautiful moments before anything else changes in the world We also had some with these yummy custom made cookes by @cruizininthesweetlane. Each client get's to take one home!! How cute are they??? See more
11.01.2022 Who could say no to Diesel's puppy dog eyes??! The first thing I do with pet shoots is let them suss me out. I love giving them lots of pats and get them them to trust me, and use treats sometimes so they know where to look. If they trust me and even sit for me, I have a better chance of directing them in the shoot. If there are too many hands, or too many people with treats they get confused and end up looking everywhere ... Diesel and Stella were definitely energetic pups, and Mel did warn me they might be difficult to photograph, but it was the best response to hear how happy she was with the images and surprised considoring how much the pups ran around in our shoot. I love dogs, I've grown up with them and even have my first dogs name tattooed on my ankle, so I am a massive supporter of getting shots with your furbaby, because it's be the best way to treasure them years down the track @ South Perth Foreshore See more
09.01.2022 How amazing is this photography dream.
09.01.2022 Who thinks playing dress ups is even more fun as an adult? I still remember putting on my favourite red skirt and dancing around the house to Shania Twain's "That Don't Impress Me Much" when I was about 7yo This is my FIRST OFFICIAL EDIT from last weekends studio fun at @parkerandstone and boy did we dress up and have fun!! @kennedy.jane_ literally brought her suitcase ... I can't believe I haven't had a creative and freestyle studio shoot since the start of the year if not before!! Can't wait to share the rest from this day See more
09.01.2022 To celebrate a new set of ballroom photoshoots about to begin, here's a fun edit I put together with a few of the images from last year. Can't wait to create some more magic.
08.01.2022 My partner is lucky I'm a photographer and not a hair stylist
08.01.2022 I love seeing people get creative!! This is the perfect example of it not being about the gear, but how you use it

04.01.2022 Who's ever come up with a great idea and then the next day, reality hits and it just becomes too much? All the logic and the doubts and it just becomes daunting. It made my day seeing this quote in Big Magic, because it's so TRUE!! This book is seriously helping me to rewire my brain and how I perceive and nurture my ideas. ... My partner is a massive inspiration for me because he follows his dreams, even though it's daunting. But aren't most things?? If you're unsure whether or not to do something, just do it!! Daunting doesn't mean it's going to be bad! It means you've got a great idea and you're probably going to get that with every idea so why let it stop you ?? See more
04.01.2022 Liptember is coming!!! And it is all about women's mental health. Which is what inspired this quote. Some days, I feel like I'm well on my way to that mission and other days I feel like it's a ridiculous statement.... Mental health is something everyone should be aware of and have some sort of an understanding of how to manage. It doesn't matter how much money you have or how old you are. It affects everyone. And when it weighs you down and affects your motivation, it can impact all parts of your life. Whatever challenge you are facing today or this week, nomatter how big or how small, this is your reminder. Don't focus on others, don't focus on the negatives because you know how it ends. Be brave, ignore the little voice in your head and decide today that you are on a mission See more

03.01.2022 Where would we be without our parents?? I've been dancing for over 20 years, and my parents never missed one competition or dance exam. My Mum always worked hard to make outfits for me and my Dad was always there with the camera ready to capture everything. They never complained, they simply helped support their daughter do something she loved and I have always been grateful for that. ... Here's to all the dance parents out there =D
01.01.2022 Happy SATURDAY I can't believe it's officially been over a week since Errol and Heidi officially said 'I do'. At the start of their reception we snuck out and got some beautiful photos at dusk, so here's your sneak peak guys ... I find at weddings, the reception is where everyone begins to relax. The cermony is done, not all eyes are on you anymore and you can really enjoy being a married couple. It's such a privelage to be capture these moments See more
