09.01.2022 TCC formal this afternoon and then off to Mackay for my last wedding for 2020 . Some days are overwhelming and I won’t lie lately it’s been hard...I don’t know if it’s just this year and how it’s panned out and I know it seems like we only work one day a week and just edit but we wedding photographers, without realising even, put so much emotion into a wedding day and have to literally be ON the entire day and it can be exhausting...(the wedding photographer hangover is REA...L, no booze needed)...I’m constantly shooting and waiting to see the moments that make up the relaxed style that I shoot for, so when candid moments like this happen all the tiredness is worth it, even more so when you are getting this shot and hear the bridal party saying to each other to just wait so I could get this exact moment just as it was, without interruption just minutes after they had married... sometimes I love nothing more than a messy bridal party walk but sometimes it’s just nice that someone else sees what you do See more

08.01.2022 Some days I have to walk away from my desk....because I worry if I don’t then I’ll walk away from it forever. At times it’s only for an hour or two, others I can’t face it for days. . I’m not ashamed to say it but I overload myself with work because I genuinely care about it. I say yes when I shouldn’t because I want everyone to have the memories but I don’t say no enough for myself. I run this show solely on my own. I edit myself. All messages are me. I physically source al...l my locations by going there...because I want everyone to get what they pay for and more. . Working for yourself seems so freeing and dreamy but more often than not, it’s a lot. It’s extremely hard to find an off button and the expectation to be ON all the time can be overwhelming.. . If your a boss bitch who’s on the brink...take what you need! Take the day. Take the week. Before you find yourself walking off into the distance .
