22.01.2022 I came to this club when I was lost and at my lowest. I was looking for something to get me back to my previous self and too say I found that in trex is an understatement. I have never met a more friendly and giving team and i can truly say it has changed my life. Throughout this long year i have achieved things i could never have imagined myself having the confidence to do. However, after 2 marathons, 2 half marathon, 1 half ironman, 7 sprint triathlons and numerous hours o...f training, I can truly say that none of it can add up to the pride I feel having been awarded male athlete of the year. It is something that I will cherish forever and I can assure you that plaque will be displayed proudly for all to see. Well done everyone on such a massive year and I look forward to another huge year in 2016 and beyond. Let the bussleton training torture begin. Team T-Rex Triathlon Coaching

18.01.2022 My first year with Trex triathlon club.

16.01.2022 The mantra "IT AINT WEAK TO SPEAK" was conceived from a time of heartbreak and despair ... But now we use this as our symbol of hope to empower individuals tha...t you are not alone. We intend for these same words to be your symbol of hope, to liberate you and give you strength; to encourage you to talk about the things that burden you. Statistics say that 1 in every 4 people will suffer some form of mental illness. They also state that suicide is the leading cause of death for people between the ages of 14-44. This needs to change. LIVIN was created as a proactive approach to a problem that has been swept under the rug for far too long, and when we say "IT AINT WEAK TO SPEAK" we mean the following. While we do highly recommend talking to a professional if you have the access, we also understand that there can be a number of reasons why someone can't. So we encourage you to talk to your friends, your family, your barber, your boss, your coach or even your neighbour......Reach out and let someone know when that you're struggling. Use the words "IT AINT WEAK TO SPEAK" to empower you to break free from the shackles called stigma. Share your struggle... Get talking. We believe that any talking is better than no talking.... And as we like to say, a problem shared is a problem halved. So talk up, give yourself every chance of recovery and let's help each other start LIVIN again. Please share this post so as many people as possible are given the chance to read and digest it. We know the system is flawed...but it's no good kicking stones and talking about it. We as the people need to come together and take it upon ourselves to affect positive change. That is what LIVIN is about. If you're a bit lost or would like someone to talk to, feel free to reach out to us and we will point you in the right direction. #livin #itaintweaktospeak #nostigma Lifeline: 13 11 14 Suicide call back service: 1300 659 467 Kids Helpline: 1800 551 800 Headspace: 1800 650 890 Black Dog Institute: 1300 224 636

16.01.2022 Day 2: road to busso jelly legs from yesterday so got in the pool and did a 3km swim strength session. Some flippers, paddles and buoy to really work on strength through the water. Day 3: road to busso... teamed up with sam to do a long run on the treadmill. 17.5km in 1:10 with mix between aerobic endurance and half marathon pace. No need for a toilet break and stomach stayed in stomach which is always a good thing haha

13.01.2022 Training Update Day 4: Road to Busso Morning Swim session working on power (Bands, Buoys and paddles).Backed it up with an hour windtrainer session and 45min strength circuit in the arvo. ... Day 5: Road to Busso Pooring Rain during summer, anyone would think i am back in Melbourne! No long ride as a result so i took to the treadmill and pumped out a massive threshold and hill run. 16km all up with 4 x 400m hill sprints @ 6% gradients and 5minute threshold run @ 18km/h thrown in. 3km Jog back to my house to recover, allthough with the weather it was more like a 3km swim back. Overall feeling great and once again getting stuck into supercoach maccas'program. Got my first race of 2016 coming up @ Coombabah on the weekend which should be a cracker.

12.01.2022 As some of you may know last October I rode 1000km in the great cycle challenge. In this time I was able to raise over $1000 thank largely to the help and support of my generous friends and family. This money has gone to helping support children battling cancer and will help ensure they are able to live the fullfilled life that they deserve. I have delayed this thanks for a few months as I had a little surprise to unveil but with Christmas arrived it is now time to give the ...kudos you all thoroughly deserve. So enjoy the pictures and know that your help has gone to a great cause. To see what your donations can accomplish look no further than my sister. She is truly an inspiration to everyone who knows her and the achievements she has made in school, work and life as a whole is what inspired me to get off my but and contribute. so without further ado I send a massive thank and look forward to doing it all again next year. Maybe boost it up to 1500 next year haha Jeremy smith jess and Lachy moir tim and Karen ramage nick ramage marion wellwood kerry bugg david procida Mark barrett james north veronica sherwell Jeff ramage pete horne daniel mcnamara marg kyle david ramage matt pelin kath and Harold ramage vicki jones jacqui galagher vicki jones David and Catherine bell jacob mcabe andrew and Dianne Moir merry christmas :)

08.01.2022 Massive year has finally come to an end with the hardest and most rewarding run of my life now complete. The weather wasnt great and there were a few minor glitches (including a quick public toilet stop) but with the end in sight finishing on a high was never in doubt. I ended up finishing the gold coast 50km with a time of 3:26 and 3rd overall and first for 20-29 age group. This was my first podium at a major event and hopefully signs of bigger things to come.... Thank you to everyone for all the support, great to know I have so many awesome people in my life. I am now stuck into planning my schedule for next year and please stay tuned as it looks to be a big one. I will continue to keep everyone informed of how I am progressing and will once again use the page to build much needed awareness and funds for livin. Have a merry Christmas and enjoy the holidays with your family.

06.01.2022 Sorry for the long delay between posts. It has been very busy here on the coast with work, training and family events taking a toll on my spare time. Overall it has been a great start to my ironman program, including a 150km ride to Brisbane, numerous km of running and a 3rd in the coombabah xtrail series. I feel my bike strength and endurance are slowly building and with a little more work on my swim I will start to really pull it all together. I am now leading into a bit of... a recovery phase after finishing off a big week today with a 21km run and 2km swim. I will continue to keep the updates coming and stay tuned over the next few weeks as I start to put together my fundraising campaigns for 2016.

04.01.2022 It ain't weak to speak!!!

04.01.2022 Once again livin speaks the truth that many sufferers are unable too speak. Never assume someone is ok just because they look ok on the surface.

04.01.2022 Remember what it's all about. Don't get caught up in the hustle and bustle of. Competition

04.01.2022 Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you amazing unique humans. Please keep this top of mind whenever your thoughts seem clouded or you feel like you don't b...elong here- YOU ARE NEVER ALONE. There are people out there that love you and care for you and would do anything to get you on track. You just have to reach out and ask for help. Same thing you would do if you broke your arm- you would see a doctor. We love you and thank you for being you. #itaintweaktospeak #neveralone See more

01.01.2022 2015: What a Year!!!!! I have achieved several lifelong goals, started full time at a job I love and joined the best tri club in australia. I couldn't be happier with where I am in my life which is amazing considering how low I got to at the start of the year. from the excitement of my first triathlon at Robina to the pain of my brutal Gc50, I loved every minute doing the sports I love. I was lucky enough to finally take the first steps on my way to reaching my athletic goals... and can't wait to use 2015 as a stepping stone for bigger and better things. as of tomorrow I will start my countdown to Bussleton 2016 and will use this site to update everyone on my progression and training on a day to day basis so stay tuned. i wish everyone a happy new year and may 2016 be the best year ever.
