22.01.2022 City of West Torrens Mayor Michael Coxon met with Premier Marshall yesterday to deliver a letter expressing our Council's support of Option 2: Hybrid Option for... the North-South corridor upgrade project. This option provides for a 'tunnel' to maintain and protect the heritage of South Road and environs in West Torrens; lessens disruption to residents and businesses and minimises land acquisition. The Premier advised Mayor Coxon that the State Government will soon announce the preferred design for this significant project. See more
18.01.2022 This may look like a photo of a street with lovely autumn leaves on trees (and it is) but what is interesting about this street is that it's Mackirdy St, Fulham..., which has recently been resurfaced using asphalt made out of used car tyres! This road has about 200 tonnes of crumbed rubber asphalt mix, or tyres from 600 passenger vehicles! An added bonus is that because it's crumbed rubber it's much less likely to crack like traditional asphalt mixes. See more
