25.01.2022 The best#BIFB Alice is coming to the Ballarat International Foto Biennale. My exhibition called ALICE-ISM will be on at #TheMallowHotel. ALICE-ISM (2019) is an illustration of the age-old Alices Adventures in Wonderland tackled through the grandeur of theatrical performance with a burlesque twist. This is my first image called The Never Ending Tea Party. All starting with Marie from #MarquisDeSade with her amazing costumes to #TamsinBuic With this new ser...ies of works, all the characters are from a range of disciplines from burlesque to ballet. My works feature #AuroraKurth #Rachel Belle #KimberlyFrancis #SimoneLuki #Irina #rachel.belle.794. Rachel Belle Best bit about being an artist is the experience of working with other creative people, it was a joint effort on the day of shooting. I share this creative with the above people. #costume #costumeevent #burlesque #costumeparty See more

20.01.2022 This is one of my favourite images of Poppy Cherry called "The Purple Feathers". I love to make the beautiful costumes that Poppy wearing come to life when I created this carnival world she poses in. The image of another self of Poppy was me trying to show how her acts takes on the many personalities that is unique to Australian burlesque.
19.01.2022 Daniel Kneebone and Aurora Kurth artist talk about Visual Arts working collaboratively with Performing Arts, with apprication of the arts during this trying time. I think its important to show and talk about what it means working together and now more than ever the value of Stories told by our performing artist who would normally be with you all. Im very excited to share Sunday at 11am as part of the Headon Festival (Australias main International photography festival) The ...Headon team say they are getting about 10,000 people a day view the online exhibitions from 125 countries.. see link below to register to see our talk https://www.headon.com.au/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=118 #burlesque #performingarts #visualarts #burlesqueperformers #Aliceinwonderland #aliceism #photographicart
19.01.2022 This clip illustrates the daunting task ahead of humankind. It quotes currently our food system consumes 70% of our fresh water, takes up about 40% of the earth surface and produces 1/4 of total greenhouse gases. This is based on our current world population. Once the plastic waste is added to our environment in the amounts so far the maths does not look good for the future of our children.
17.01.2022 Artists helping Artists Special Offer to buy a fine artwork featuring Sina King I wish to help the beautiful Sina King at a moment in time when she needs support from those around her. An important colleague of Sinas from the Burlesque Industry (Dolores Daiquiri) has set-up a GoFundMe page to help Sina through a time of recovery after a nasty health scare.... Its time for me to give back and support this beautiful person and international superstar. I am organizing a special run of 5 prints of my photographic artwork entitled: "Ethereal Beauty" which features Sing King. Each print is for sale at a cost of $240 with the profits going to Sinas GoFundMe campaign. The print size is 70 cm (wide) x 48 cm (high) and printed on high quality gallery grade archival paper. A art world friend of mine, Steve (Kagetsu) Buic from Vernissage (www.vernissage.com.au) in Prahran, has come to the party with the printing of the artworks. $40 from each print sold will go towards covering Steves material costs of the printing and the remaining $200 from each print will go to Sinas Go FundMe campaign. My aim is to raise $1000 for Sina from the sale of the 5 prints. This is a very limited edition photograph as I have only sold three others at much larger sizes through the Jackman Gallery in St Kilda and the Contemporary Art Awards (in Australia). My "Ethereal Beauty" image has received many national and international awards and has been published in The Weekend Australian and an Italian Magazine called Panorama, with the largest distribution in Italy. Im excited to tell you that I have already received quite a lot of interest, so I suggest that you get in quick if you want to own a piece of Sina history at a very affordable price. Normally my artworks sell for a lot more through the galleries, so there are no gallery commission fees in the sale of these 5 prints on offer for the GoFundMe campaign. Please let me know ASAP if you would like to purchase one of the 5 special prints. Once I have sold all 5 prints, I will arrange for them to be printed by Steve at Vernissage. In the meantime, I wish you a speedy recovery Sina and hope my initiative will help to get our superstar back on the stage soon. Many thanks, Danny Kneebone. https://www.gofundme.com/sina-king-recovery

14.01.2022 To all the fantastic people who came to the Alice-ism celebration, it was such a MAD night!!, thank you all, the dressing up effort was phenomenal. It was so hard even to pick the ones that were out the front. I would have had to move half the room to the front area you guys where all so good!! Our performers they were sensational - It was a full house!!! if I had my time again I would of changed the whole room around twice so everyone could get a better look at the Alice-ism... performance by Aurora Kurth, Kimberly Francis, Neve Forrestal and Holly McCrossin did for us. And.. even an appearance of Irena in her soldiers Costume was ace! Also having Marie herself on this night, thanks again Marie Marquisde Sade! It was so amazing to see the characters in the artworks in real life in front of us all. What amazing talented group of ladies so blessed having the opportunity to work with you all in both artworks and the Alice-ism performance. So much effort performers do behind the scenes that an audience does not see, I hope my artworks capture those efforts. I need to also mention The Mallow Hotel owners and staff where so supportive and helpful. Alice-ism had a chance to blossom because of your support. Thanks again everyone and the Ballarat International Foto Biennale for supplying a platform opportunity for Digital Artists too! See more

09.01.2022 https://www.headon.com.au/exhibitions/alice-ism Im excited to post that Alice-ism is a featured Exhibition in the Headon Festival for 2020. This year it is online only due to you know what. I would like to take the opportunity to dedicate my work to the performing artists in my works but also all the performing artists. In these current times I hope an apprication for all our gifted artists that make up our rich culture can be seen as important part of our culture in a free ...society. The arts and the performing arts are the most vulnerable during this unprecedented time so I hope my work captures for a short moment the value of these ladies and what I think is an important aspect of our society and culture "their story telling gift". Thank you to Aurora Kurth , Kimberly Francis, Rachel Belle, Marie Marquisde Sade, Simone Esterhuizen you guys are the best!!! See more

05.01.2022 I wanted to put these up on my photography page as a reminder to myself. I did these at 16/17 years old back at school. I only thought of photography as a source of something i could use as reference to illustrate. I loved doing woman’s portraits even back then.
05.01.2022 Getting to be part of the St.Kilda Art scene, John Michael Pacholli organised for me to display part of the Femme Magnifique series at the fantastic St.Kilda Icon venue the St. Hotel. With the up and coming Australian Burlesque Festival performing at the Alex Theatre in October I was stoked that Mick Pacholli and the St. Hotel support my work and I get to illustrate the beauty of burlesque right in St.Kilda. The St. Hotel is a fantastic venue right in the heart of St.Kildas Fitzroy Street. Go and have a look

02.01.2022 Alice Axnick who features in Ariellas Tears joined me today to celebrate the installation of Ariellas Tears at the St Hotel in St.Kilda and also the inclusion as a finalist in The Contemporary Art Awards. Arch Angel Ariella fears for the health of our planet. Symbolism of the past to highlight issues of the future.... Drawing inspiration from the mythology of angels, Ariellas Tears (2018) is a photographic story piece illustrating the archangel who governs the natural world. The figure acts as a liaison between humanity and the elements. The completed image is deliberately staged in a renaissance style to mimic the grandness of the oversized paintings produced during that time. The angel clutches herself while gazing into the distance; this depicts her future fears about what may happen to our world. The skies represent our environment, the dark and violent colours on the left are overtaking the lighter dawning skies on the right, exemplifying the turning point in our planets overall health. The inclusion of the other angels in the background symbolises the eternal struggle that has been taking place about the environment; the cooperation of humanity is imperative as heaven alone cannot save our world. The overall aim of this work is to present this dilemma in a mythological and imaginative way that enables the audience to be mindful and contemplate the future health of the planet. See more
