25.01.2022 There is no moment more special in life than the moment you see your baby for the first time. No matter how your delivery went. The love that a mother and father have when they see there baby for the first time is i just die from it . Its like everything is forgotten about there world and everything is complete . There are so many emotions in this moment: joy, relief, amazement, pride, love, euphoria, contentment, and so many different reactions: smiles and tears,"Mome...nts of silence and moments of extreme joy.

23.01.2022 Testes (testicles) are male sex glands. They produce sperm and hormones for sexual reproduction. When the testes (one or both) do not move down into the scrotum it is called 'undescended testes'. It is also known as Cryptorchidism. About four boys in every 100 have undescended testes when they are born.

23.01.2022 The Mother Nourished team will be facilitating two mothers groups per week. The Mothers Group program will run for 8 weeks, and will be separated into two baby age groups: 0-6 months and 6-12 months. The fee for the mothers group will be $12.50 per session. The aim is to gather mothers who are in a similar phase of motherhood with close in age babies. ... We will be choosing a topic each week as a platform for discussion, sharing insight and information, and supporting each other as sisters (given we are raising the next generation of this Ummah!). We are taking a limited number of sisters per group so get in quick! https://goo.gl/forms/OqkRvvEkJXQoho9Y2

21.01.2022 Ok, this is HUGE. And important. A study published today in Depression and Anxiety suggests that pregnant women who receive synthetic oxytocin (Pitocin - or Syntocinon - as it is known in Australia) during or shortly after delivery may be at a greater risk of postpartum depression or anxiety than those who are not exposed to the synthetic hormone. The researchers found that exposure to synthetic oxytocin during labour or immediately following labour increased the risk of dep...ression or anxiety in the first postpartum year by about 32% in women with no history of pre-pregnancy depression or anxiety. The use of syntocinon in labour in Australian hospitals is extremely widespread. Unless there is a clear, proven medical need to have your labour sped up artificially, say NO to synthetic oxytocin! http://alert.psychnews.org//exposure-to-synthetic-oxytocin

20.01.2022 "What parents do in those early months and years are really affecting the way the brain is going to grow the rest of their lives, so lots of holding, touching and rocking, that is what babies expect. They grow better that way. And keep them calm, because all sorts of systems are establishing the way they are going to work. If you let them cry a lot, those systems are going to be easily triggered into stress. We can see that in adult hood, that people that are not cared for well, tend to be more stress reactive and they have a hard time self calming," said Narvaez. http://wqad.com//new-research-ends-age-old-debate-will-yo/

15.01.2022 positive thinking

12.01.2022 I spent my life trying to pave my own road like a relentless, tunnel-vision warrior, reframing every painful experience into that of a positive one. But then again, I've never really suffered so much that it broke me. Suffered so much that I felt like my entire body was made of glass and a mere touch would create hairline fractures that would slowly break, like pieces of a puzzle, and take my soul out with it too" Signs of postnatal anxiety According to BeyondBlue, here are ...some signs that you may need some help: anxiety or fear that interrupts your thoughts and interferes with daily tasks panic attacks outbursts of extreme fear and panic that are overwhelming and feel difficult to bring under control anxiety and worries that keep coming into your mind and are difficult to stop or control constantly feeling irritable, restless or on edge having tense muscles, a tight chest and heart palpitations finding it difficult to relax and/or taking a long time to fall asleep at night anxiety or fear that stops you going out with your baby anxiety or fear that leads you to check on your baby constantly .

11.01.2022 I definatley can relate!!!!! Can you ?? http://www.scarymommy.com/mothers-stay-up-late/

11.01.2022 A GREAT READ!!!! Waiting for 6cm to call labor active means that, in general, interventions (especially to speed labor) will not be employed until later. Doctors say that there should be no diagnosis of failure to progress, labor arrest, or inadequate progress before 6cmbefore the oxytocin snowball has a chance to get going. The Bottom Line... Obstetricians are now supposed to wait until 6cms dilation to start managing labor progression. This should result in a lot fewer interventions in general, including cesarean, and especially for failure to progress. If women are sufficiently prepared and confident to get from 3-6cms without medical and pharmacological aid, we will have a lot more safe, vaginal births.

05.01.2022 Compound presentation A compound presentation occurs when the baby's arm or leg is next to the main presenting part, usually the head. Labor can usually proceed normally without any manipulation, which might harm the baby or cause the umbilical cord to slip through the cervix. Usually as labor progresses, the compound presenting part will retract and the baby's head will ultimately present. Sometimes the obstetrician will pinch the baby's finger to stimulate a reflex contraction which will relieve the compound presentation.

01.01.2022 When a baby is born and then feels the change in temperature it begins to take its first breath. In a traditional birth this temperature change is felt immediately after birth. In a water birth the temperature change is not felt until baby is lifted from the water. During your water birth your healthcare provider will frequently check the water temperature. Keeping the water as close to body temperature as possible helps ensure a safe transition for baby so they are not trig...gered to take a breath. Providers will ensure the water is 35-37 degrees. You might be relieved to know that baby isnt triggered to breath while underwater. But you might still have concerns about baby accidentally inhaling water if she opens her mouth. Babies are born with a dive reflex. This causes babies to swallow any liquid rather than inhale it. Babies will not inhale water during a water birth. This same reflex aids in feeding as it prevents babies from accidentally inhaling milk. This reflex lasts for six to eight months.
