25.01.2022 Yay it's Friday I took this photo a couple of new moons ago and although I got a few good pics from the outing, I didn't think there were any more keepers. Well last night while looking through all the raw images, this pic jumped out at me to have a little play in lightroom. This was the result. Location is out towards the Keep River near the Northern Territory Border in Kununurra. Thanks Ben from @kimberley4x4tours Have a fantastic weekend you mob!

24.01.2022 Weekend adventures out at Lake Argyle did NOT disappoint. Both nights we were lucky enough to have a lightning display. How good was it?

24.01.2022 Another beautiful day at Lake Argyle, Western Australia.

23.01.2022 I can see a slight addiction to chasing these bad boys rolling in. Sooooooo good!

22.01.2022 Yay its hump day, so I thought I would throw in some Boab Porn for the week to distract you from the circus of the U.S. elections. Enjoy

22.01.2022 If you turn your phone landscape and stare close enough you can see the sunflowers communicating with the Milky Way.

21.01.2022 Had awesome fun shooting with these girls yesterday afternoon. Watch this space for the video. Thanks Cassie, Hannah and Courtney once again for being my models, always a hoot!

21.01.2022 G'day guys, here is a phone interview with Kevin Reilly from the remote coastal wilderness retreat in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia. Through unfortunate circumstances or a judgement of error from a controlled burn from FESA (The Department of Fire and Emergency Services) Kevin last week nearly lost his remote resort. As an independent film maker, I'm about to start a film/doco about fires in the Kimberley and the timing of this fire was uncanny. I'm starting to d...iscover that this topic is HOT! Many long-time residents in the Kimberley, gifted with the power of observation for their environment are slowly witnessing the devastating effects fires are having to the region we all love dearly. The big question is with these huge prescribed burns in the Kimberley. Are we doing this right, and as Kev mentioned, was this particular burn carried out at the wrong time of year? We can all agree that departments like FESA do an incredible job in protecting the lives and property for all Western Australians and I for one am very grateful for all these men and women who work on the front line of fires. But is it time to also consider at what toll these fires maybe having on our fragile eco system in the Kimberley? How, alongside with arson is slowly turning the Kimberley environment into a baron desert landscape. Please feel free to share Kevin's story and have your say. Leave a comment with your thoughts and feedback, but please remain respectful to both sides of the debate. If you feel you can contribute in any way to the upcoming film about fires in the Kimberley send me a private message. I would love to chat and hear your say.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOLfi3eAINM&t=236s

21.01.2022 Its not always about size with waterfalls. This secret little gem was absolutely divine this afternoon. The water here feels so therapeutic for the soul. I love it!

20.01.2022 Here are some of my drone shots of Lake Argyle and the brilliant views we had from the villas over the weekend. We are already booked in for Australia Day 2021. Cant wait!

19.01.2022 Well I had a crack at my first maternity shoot with this beautiful lady and mother to be. Wishing you all the best into motherhood Lara, you are going to be a fantastic mother. Big love to you and the family. <3

19.01.2022 Would you drive down this rd while this is going on? I had just driven through this coming back from Lake Argyle, and the flashes were feeling really close. But I just cranked the stereo and was praying for a chance for the rain to stop and it did! This image is a series of 5 photos taken with a 25 second long exposure over the course of approximately 5 minutes. I love the Kimberley in Western Australia

18.01.2022 Ivanhoe Crossing, Kununurra. This man-made structure and the old road between Kununurra and Wyndham can be absolutely stunning with the right glow from sunset. A barramundi was caught minutes before taking this picture. Such an epic and iconic Kimberley experience, the only shame is the freaking grubs that leave their rubbish behind. You can actually see a coke can down the bottom of the pic. I was going to photoshop it out but I thought I would leave it in as a message to those lazy bastards who dont give a f$%k about our beautiful environment.

17.01.2022 Good Morning from....:) Kununurra, the Diversion Dam. Designed to divert and regulate the flow of water from the Ord River into the Ord Irrigation area. The dam consists of 20 radial gates mounted within a concrete framework and spillway structure. The water is gravity fed into channels to service agriculture for the region. The dam also forms part of the Victoria Highway. Australia's North West

17.01.2022 Sunrise to Sunset. Sunflower therapy in full effect in the Australia's North West. Please respect bio security measures for all our farmers if you go have a look. Well Done to the guys at the @RB Dessert Seed Co.

17.01.2022 The other nights storm was off chops. I was driving around following it for hours. I watched 2 storms merge into one right above my head at a quiet little lookout out of town. I sat there in awe until I quickly needed to hop in the car to avoid being struck. Mother nature at her best! This pic is a composite of 5 images while sitting up at Kelly's Knob.

15.01.2022 For those of you that have driven Lake Argyle Rd driving towards the Lake, Im sure that you would remember this view. As you first drive over the hill and get the first glimpse of the lake the feeling is OMG! I have literally driven it hundreds of times and it still takes my breath away every time. Tourism in the Kimberley for 2021 is at a critical knife edge and a lot of small businesses may not be able to go on if travel restrictions are continued and this breaks my heart. So please I am urging West Australians to support the Kimberley in 2021 especially places in Kununurra and Lake Argyle. Book your flights, pack the car and come check it out for yourself.

14.01.2022 Thanks ABC Perth for sharing my Sunflower piccy

14.01.2022 Tonight's sunset looking pretty spesh

13.01.2022 Molly Springs, 30kms west from Kununurra. Easy 4WD or 2WD for those that are brave

13.01.2022 The life support for Australia. You have to respect the life of a "truckie." Would love to find the owner/driver of this truck to show them my appreciation with this quick photo I took. I do wonder what he is carting in the great agriculture lands of the Kimberley. Keep truckin!

13.01.2022 Don't worry about the sunshine and lollipops, we have sunflowers and clear milkways in @thekimberleyregion

13.01.2022 The first lightning show for Kununurra tonight. Bring on the big wet for 2020/2021

11.01.2022 Lake Argyle, Western Australia. Last nights storm approaching the Dam wall and the hydro electricity intake tower.

08.01.2022 Last nights view driving past the turnoff to the Gibb River Rd. This is the Kununurra/Wyndham side that cuts through the heart of the Kimberley Region to Derby. The Gibb River Rd is one of the most spectacular drives in Australia with so much to see and do. It will be a real shame when it is fully sealed and accessible, but I suppose its all about progress. This image is a composition of three long exposures.

07.01.2022 Ten images all rolled into one with this vertical pano I took out yonder from Kununurra. Western Australia. Where the farming country meets the epicness of nature I loved the clouds this day, all so warm and fuzzy after another stinker of a day.

06.01.2022 Good morning from the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Location is at the lookout of Lake Argyle. Have you booked your flights yet? Cheap flights from Perth at the moment.

06.01.2022 Last nights storm rolling over the top of the dam wall at Lake Argyle Western Australia just moments before the lightning show. It was an almighty sight and more photos to prove it!

06.01.2022 I was stoked to get the blessings from El Questro to pop my drone up during last wet season. This place is called Wandjinas window and below is called the G-Spot. (Its hard to find ) This is the next level from the world famous Emma Gorge in the Cockburn Ranges which people travel from far and wide to come visit. Fingers crossed that EL Q will be open for business in 2021 and Australians will come check out this magical place

05.01.2022 I made this cheesy little video a few months ago with these three crazy girls, Cassie, Hannah and Courtney riding their bikes through a sunflower field in Kununurra, Western Australia. It seemed like a fitting time to finally upload with Cassie now leaving Kununurra. All the best Cassie on your new adventures and a massive thank you to all of you for being my sunflower subjects. I can now tick that off my bucketlist of things to do before I die. Oh and their bikes were all recently stolen so keep an eye out for the bikes please (This video was filmed with the permission of the farmer. Please respect their hardwork by keeping your distance from the crops.)

04.01.2022 Last nights little storm from the top of Kelly's Knob in the best town in Australia, KUNUNURRA! Each of these two images are taken with 5 separate long exposures and layered together. I followed this lightning nearly all the way to Wyndham to go to the top of Five Rivers Lookout, but in the excitement my fuel gauge wasn't allowing me to get all the way. Fortunately I captured a few good shots along the way. Man I love the ever changing seasons in the East Kimberley Region.... From clear blue skys and the explosive Milky Way, cracking lightning shows to the excitement of the waterfall season. Our town has it all! See more

04.01.2022 Very excited to be going to Lake Argyle this weekend with friends and staying at the million dollar views villa. Bring on the weekend!!! 2 HOURS TO GO

04.01.2022 Let the waterfalls in the Kimberley begin! Blackrock Falls, just 20 minutes from Kununurra has its pump on. Now all I need to do is decide which waterfall to go visit tomorrow.

03.01.2022 The one thing I'm now trying to appreciate is the art of composition in photography and the use of leading lines. "Leading lines refers to a compositional technique where the viewer’s attention is drawn to lines that lead to the main subject of the image. A leading line paves an easy path for the eye to follow through different elements of a photo. Usually, these lines start at the bottom of the image and guide the eyes upward and inward, from the foreground of the image ...to the background, typically leading toward the main subject." ~Anne McKinnell~ This image was taken 30kms out from Wyndham. The location where I needed to reluctantly turn around and head back home after discovering my fuel was to low to continue my chase. Its a series of 5 images layered into one. I think my appreciation and respect for the earth has grown to the next level after spending a couple of hours with the elegance and enchantment of this storm. See more

03.01.2022 Driving back from Wyndham yesterday afternoon watching this bad boy brewing up a storm. It was almost like it wanted to form into a tornado on how it was starting to twist around on itself. Amazing to watch.

03.01.2022 This was the last new moon sky two weeks ago. It was off chops clear and those stars were a sensory overload! Thanks to Benedict Smith from Kimberley 4x4 Tours for being my subject for scale and subtly lighting up this grand ol' boab tree in the middle of no where. You can see why I love the Kimberley Region. ... Book your holiday now! See more

03.01.2022 Wow my Kimberley Crocodile video is gaining some views now. Gotta love a big hungry lizard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3J8JLyjXwY

02.01.2022 I recently made a little video for my school in Kununurra, such a great event. GO ORD

02.01.2022 I mean seriously, is there a more epic location as Lake Argyle, Australia's North West in Western Australia. Book your flights and come see it for yourself.

01.01.2022 A little pano of my favorite little place in the world. Lake Argyle. Lake Argyle

01.01.2022 The Ord Valley Region in Kununurra. Agriculture on the Ord River in Western Australia's Kimberley region began in 1941. Fourteen thousand hectares of irrigated farmland started with the opening of the Kununurra Diversion Dam in 1963. Lake Argyle the largest freshwater storage on mainland Australia was created in 1971.
