20.01.2022 I took a sneak preview a few days ago of Warragul’s newest connector road. Council last week resolved to purchase the house at 1 Tarwin Street (and demolish it) which will allow Sutton Street to continue into Waterford Rise. This road, called Longview, joins Sutton Street to Crole Drive. I think traffic on Tarwin Street will fall dramatically! A large roundabout will be built at Sutton/Pharoahs/Longview once the house is removed.

20.01.2022 Council has its new Draft Waste Management Plan out for comment at present. Down the track it looks like four bins for everyone. It’s a State Government initiative but we still want feedback. Any thoughts?

15.01.2022 I attended the launch today of Ride Nation in Baw Baw Shire Council Along with Cr. Michael Leaney and Cr Peter Kostos it was a pleasure to see the kids in action at Trafalgar Primary School. Council has contributed $30,000 along with the Latrobe Valley Authority. Trafalgar & District Community Bank Branch have also made a generous contribution. Increasing participation and increasing safety on bikes will be at the forefront of the program. I am sure it will be big success!

15.01.2022 Sorry I couldn’t be there Cr Darren Wallace but looks like a lovely afternoon at Seaview. I can’t wait to see what the Community come up with to spend their Placemaking Grant on!

14.01.2022 This is a big deal for Warragul in particular and Baw Baw in general. Council really wants thoughts and comments on this. Have your say! Big new library with underground parking (Government funding needed), Community spaces, new forecourt etc. It’s a plan - not a done deal. It won’t happen without support. This new social infrastructure is needed to cope with growing population. Should Council advocate to State and Federal Government for grants to fund at least Stage 1 (Library)? 10.01.2022 Great to see a big pre Christmas crowd today at the Warragul Farmers Market. Such great support for our local produce. Thanks to all who came up for a chat at Baw Baw Shire Council stand. And a special thanks to Senator Raff Ciccone for listening to Councillors and Ratepayers concerns about our infrastructure issues. Raff is prepared to visit many of our Regional areas and is a great support. We appreciate this so much - we get almost no politicians visiting us. With Cr. Michael Leaney, Cr Darren Wallace, Cr Jazmin Tauru - Baw Baw Shire Council, Cr Joe Gauci and Cr Tricia Jones.
