23.01.2022 Hi all Well it's been a long time since I posted on this site. We are still going along quite well with the help of all our committed volunteers. We've been blessed with quite a few outside donations. One in particular came as quite a lovely surprise when TasNetworks had their management team pack us over 120 food hampers,well done guys and a big thankyou. Food Bank and loaves and fishes are also both very deserving of our thanks. Helping hands from Kingston are only to wil...ling to share blankets and swags with us and for that are also deserving of our thanks. There have been many other smaller donations of monies and clothing and l can assure you all that without all that support it would be extremely hard to keep our service to our friends going,so to you all our biggest heartfelt thanks. We also need to reaffirm our thanks to all our volunteers because without you all the service wouldn't function. We have some very committed people some who not only volunteer and go out on the bus but spend countless hours keeping the bus going and roadworthy,other who do the weekly shopping, and still others who give up their time to collect our donated bread. There's another store very deserving of our thanks,Thanks Banjos for all the years that you have supported our service. ADRA Glenorchy store are a continuing supporter of our service too,so again thanks so much. We are seeing approximately 30 people each night,that number would be split reasonably evenly between our 2stops Glenorchy and Hobart. Our friends we meet are for the most part very appreciative of our service. If you are reading this post and think that you would like to help us to not only give our friends out there some food and clothes and a blanket if needed,but to also offer some encouraging words to show that they are loved and we care about them,why not contact us. 21.01.2022 Dannys Bus ran our annual Christmas dinner for our Clients on Christmas Eve 24th Dec. We had over 20 of our Clients come along,they along with ourselves enjoyed the meal and the time spent together. Special thanks to the volunteers that stayed on to after 12pm to make sure that all had a great time,also to the young ones and their mums that spent a long afternoon putting together the hampers and setting up the hall. Thanks also to all those who donated food stuffs and monetary donations to make it possible. God bless you all

20.01.2022 Hello Well it's very close to that time of year again. We have had a busy year but a very enjoyable year as we've endeavoured to make the lives of all those we meet a little more comfortable. We will be holding our Christmas dinner for our friends from Glenorchy and Hobart and surrounds in the next week or two and we look forward to having a very special time with them. We are still in need of more committed volunteers who would be willing to give up one night (Friday or S...aturday)a month to help us out. We are also always happy to receive donations of blankets/sleeping bags and good quality clean warm clothes. We also give everyone who attends the Christmas dinner a food hamper and so are grateful of any non perishable foodstuffs that would be suitable for the hampers. Also any donations of foods that would be suitable for our dinner would be gratefully received. As the year comes to a close it would be remiss of me not to mention all the volunteers and those who have helped us out by donations of both money and other things like bedding clothing home cooking soups and time to purchase and deliver our supplies time to pick up our donated bread and foodstuffs from food bank time to keep our bus running. A very special thank you to you all. Also a big thank you to all those who sponsored us on a regular basis some being MrSnacks Banjos Andrew Wilkie ColbyandCo Second Bite FoodBank AdraGlenochy TheCraftClass and l know it's dangerous to start naming names because invariably you find you run the risk of missing someone but to all those lve missed an even bigger thank you. 15.01.2022 Dannys bus has been blessed with some of the best volunteers we could wish for. We have one volunteer that gives of his time every week to collect our donated bread and nearly always stays back and helps the team prepare the food,all this even with chronic back pain. We have another who without any hesitation or grumbling is always on top of maintaining our bus. We have another much newer volunteer who has spent many valuable hours organising our clothes and bedding into bin...s that she was instrumental in having donated. All our volunteers are such a blessing to work with and l could spend so much time writing about them all. A very big thank you to you all and that includes all our very special soup ladies. We have also been blessed with a lot of special people who have spent lots of time raising money and produce to keep our service to the less fortunate in our community running. Im not going to name them for fear of missing someone but rest assured everyone of you is remembered and is very much a part of making the lives of someone a lot more comfortable and bearable. 14.01.2022 Hi to you all,we are well into a new year and all is going well.We have had some new volunteers come on board and they are a real blessing to our service.Weheld our Christmas dinner as usual this year now gone and had a great time with our clients and fellow volunteers as we celebrated Christmas, for us.Also a big thanks to you who volunteered to cook and clean up, and entertain our guests,it was a long night eh!. We have again been so blessed to have some new people raise fu...nds for us,and donate goods .Two local primary schools touched my heart this year as they supported us by donating bootloads of goods in the form of clothes toys and food.It is very refreshing to see our schools and our young children so willing to give to those,many through no fault of their own,less fortunate in our community One of these schools has helped us for 2years now So many great people and company's and organisations out there that help us help others. A great big thanks to Mr Snacks Company who have supported us for many many years. 11.01.2022 Hi all ,hope you are all doing well I thought it about time I took the time to acknowledge all our volunteers that give of their time and also money to keep our service running. So please all of you,our regular bus crews,our soup ladies,our maintenance guys,our treasurer,our roster girl,our secretary,our donators and supporters,our Christmas crew please know that you are so appreciated. l know that not all of you get to meet our friends out there, but I can assure you ...that by far the majority are very thankful for all that you give and do for them. Numbers are slowly picking up out there again after our little covid induced break and so again we find we are in need of some more committed volunteers. If you feel you might like to see if you enjoy time helping out with our service please give me a call or approach one of our crew members anytime. I might mention that as l observe our crews it would seem that they not only enjoy the time,but they also have a good time. We are still working towards having our regular Christmas dinner for our friends and look forward to seeing all those that help out. You know it lifts my heart when l take the time to stop and take in the effort and the generosity of all you volunteers and supporters who selflessly keep our service going. Initially we would like to meet you and see if you like the service we offer,and if that is the case we would encourage you to get your blue card and a safe food handling online certificate.
