22.01.2022 Deepest Sympathy to Those Affected by the Bushfire Disaster Today, as the Dante Alighieri Society Canberra resumes its activities after its traditional summer pause, we extend our deepest sympathy and best wishes to those directly or indirectly impacted by the horrific bushfires that have ravaged Australia over the past few weeks. As a community-based organisation proudly promoting Italian language and culture in Canberra for more than 60 years, we are deeply saddened and sh...are Canberras grief for the losses of life, homes and property and for the unprecedented devastation of the environment, flora and fauna affected by the fires. The devastation of the NSW South Coast, much loved by Canberrans, has touched many of the Societys members. Our thoughts and sympathy go especially to them and their families. Together with other community organisations, we will also be assisting initiatives dedicated to providing material support to those directly affected by the fires. The Society urges and encourages all its members give generously to at least one of the many already established worthy initiatives.

17.01.2022 We are looking for a Class Coordinator! The Dante Alighieri Society of Canberra is seeking an Italian Language Class Coordinator. The Coordinator will ensure quality and effective delivery of the Italian language grammar and conversation classes. This self-motivated person will be the point of contact for grammar teachers and conversation leaders. This is a volunteer opportunity however an honorarium will be paid.
