24.01.2022 As a public speaker if you want your audience to trust what you have to say then try to be authentic. You should not put all your focus on just reading out the words. Let your real self out there, as it helps the audience to trust you. Avoid reading from the script and don’t put too much stress on unnecessary gestures. Show the audience who you really are. I was recently told a story of a young man who went camping(for the sake of this let's name him Gary). Now nighttime arrived and it started getting a bit cold, so Gary thought to build a fire. aha, but he didn't want to build the fire. He wanted the warmth that came from the fire, but he didn't want to make it. You CAN'T HAVE IT both ways, Gary!.... Making a fire is a pain in the butt! Because you have to create it before you can enjoy the results that come along with it. The safety, the warmth, the light.
