24.01.2022 To my ever loyal Zeeps (Zumba peeps)...sadly, I have to take time out to make peace with my broken pieces I need to take a step back to heal an injury in my right leg when I fell off the stage last year that was never quite the same again after that. I am currently getting treatment but all this will take time. In the meantime, I am so grateful to lovely instructor friends of mine like @zumbacielo and @misskitinn who will cover my classes this week. Not to forget all th...ose who have jumped on stage to shadow me and contribute your beautiful energy at our classes. For my personal friends who have always been so supportive and have my back. The new Covid restrictions have limited our numbers, many of our participants are still away on holidays and we are thinking of all those who are not feeling well at this time and unable to join us today :-(... We've got this! For all who are registered and able to be part of today - let's do this! REMINDERS: Venue: AFRICAN Garden, Fagan Park, Galston Time: Meet from 4pm, if possible. 17.01.2022 URGENT (temporary) CHANGE! I have had to make a decision to move our Monday 25th of January class to the Wednesday 27th of January for next week only. Forecast is for a very hot day on the Monday and the hall will be uncomfortably too hot for us to continue our session, as it is currently only equipped with ceiling fans. ... Forecast for the Wednesday 27th of January will be a much cooler 25C so I’ve requested the school to allow us to swap for next week. Luckily, the hirer for that Wed is not back yet so the hall is available. Sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. 08.01.2022 Attention: All Zumba Nina peeps! Please read these IMPORTANT REMINDERS: * Bookings to all classes are essential.... Reasons: In keeping with the Covid safety guidelines, we have to adhere to the maximum number allowed per class and your details are required should the need for contact tracing arise. You are able to book classes up to 2 weeks in advance. Do book early as they fill up quickly and once the maximum number allowed is reached, you will have to go on the waiting list. * Cancellations The system will still charge your class bundle if you cancel 24 hours or less before the class starts. If you have a valid reason for not making it, please message me to let me know so I can organise a refund. The more notice, the better. Due to our classes filling up fast, it is much appreciated if you let us know if you don't need your booking so someone else can take your spot. * Waiting list If a class is already full, by all means, put yourself on the waiting list. We do get last minute cancellations and as soon as a spot opens up, all those on the waitlist will get notified. You then have a 15 minute window to book that class before it opens up again to everyone else. * Checking in at classes Please check in via the Gymcatch app on your devices for every class you attend. This can be done from about 15 minutes before class starts. This replaces your signature we used to do in our registration book, to prove you were there. We then mark you off the Attendance List for that session. * Payment for classes If you are paying by cash, please ensure you bring the exact money in an envelope or sealed clear bag. Include your name, date and which type of class bundle you would like (5, 10 or 20). Kindly let me know BEFORE you book your next class if you want that session to be charged to your class bundle instead of the casual rate of $15. This way, I can credit your account first with your chosen bundle. 02.01.2022 THANK YOU to each and every one of you who took the time, practised the steps, found something bright to wear, and danced with JOY at our flash mob today! A project like this takes a lot of planning behind the scenes and we were also at the mercy of the current NSW Covid restrictions and the erratic weather. There were many who couldn’t join us because they are still away on holidays or have not been well and are thoughtful enough to stay away (you were missed Cathy Yosie Sou...thland and @Mary Ord ) Nonetheless, we pulled through and did it! Special thanks to my niece Andrea Alexis for her patience and skill in documenting this experience for us to remember forever! So EXCITED to see her creation once completed! To my friend Gail Philp who helped me mark off the attendance and collect payments- THANK YOU! I’m disappointed I didn’t get to do my usual Facebook live to capture the spirit of the day - I was just too busy directing, setting up our music, positioning and general stressing like the mother hen that I am It was beautiful to watch such an AMAZING group of ladies. I saw so many helping each other with scarves, hair, outfits and accessories (Thanks, Joanne Mamo for helping me keep my pants up with your scarf I actually forgot I had brought a whole suitcase of spare scarves and neon tops for anyone who needed it! It was almost equal numbers for participants from my 2 groups: my daytime Galston ladies and those from my evening class in N Kellyville. But today we were ONE group I’m so proud how we all came together to experience this together A few of you took selfies and hopefully some short videos? Do share with us here while we await the completed project from Alexis.
