23.01.2022 What is the difference between Qigong and Tai chi? The easiest way to understand this is to point out the following key aspects: 1. Tai chi (Taiji) is a martial art - Yes, traditionally it is a real martial art but it is very difficult to master if practiced for martial art purposes.... 2. Qigong and Tai chi both require the practitioner to work with Qi. The focus of Qigong is the building of health. In building health, one's body, mind and spirit are strengthened. Tai chi can be put into 2 main categories: One being for health and the other for martial arts. Before developing the martial aspects the practitioner must first build up health and strength as a foundational level practice and yet, the practitioner can practice Tai chi exclusively for health. This is the most widespread way that Tai chi is practiced today. Whether Tai chi is practiced for health or martial art purposes, it helps to develop a clear and active spirit. This is just like a fierce Tiger that is ready to fight at any moment and meet the sudden, changing daily challenges of Life and then ready to sit back just as fast as it got up and snooze blissfully until it's time to fight again. Qigong teaches one how to relax the body and mind and learn and understand how Qi behaves and how to harness it to develop health and personal power. Tai chi requires a relaxed body and it utilises martial art principles to strengthen the Body and Spirit of the practitioner. Not to mention, a good fighter is calm and never celebrates violence. You could say that Tai chi practiced for health is like practicing Qigong with a 'Martial Edge'. As a result, both Qigong and Tai chi develop health but with a different emphasis but share a common ground. In general, Tai chi is more challenging than Qigong and for this reason, practicing Qigong before Tai chi is a good idea so that one can start to develop a foundation in working with energy, moving into the inner landscape of the human being and being aware of the different ways to develop the innate faculties that make one Whole. To summarise, Qigong teaches one to work with Qi to build health. Tai chi takes those skills and utilising martial art principles, teaches one to strengthen the body and activate the spirit. If you had to choose one first, choose Qigong. If you want to practice both at once, good for you! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We invite you to learn how to Unlock your Potential! - Daode Qigong - https://www.daodeqigong.com/skype-consult-offer-taichi Live Online Qigong & Tai chi Classes via Skype Qigong System to Empower your Life and Learn Authentic Daoism: Daogong
22.01.2022 Learn Tai chi Internal Principles to Boost your Health and Personal Power! Tai chi is not just about physical movements, the key to the power of Tai chi exercise is within the Internal Principles. Using these Internal Principles, movements are Transformed into Genuine Tai chi practice. Without the Internal Principles one is left with empty movements that only externally resemble Tai chi. When we combine the external forms with the Internal Principles one is able to refine and... empower all aspects of one's being because Health is not just one-dimensional. It's an amazing journey learning the movements, but it's even more fascinating learning and applying the internal principles! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- We invite you to learn Traditional Tai chi! - Daode Qigong & Tai chi - https://www.daodeqigong.com/skype-consult-offer-taichi Live Online Qigong & Tai chi Classes via Skype
22.01.2022 Take responsibility for your body! It's tensions will slow you down. Take responsibility for your energy! It is like the powerful horse pulling the carriage.... Take responsibility for your emotions and thoughts! Even if the body is strong and energy plentiful, It is the fire of emotion and intent behind your movements That steer the Horse! Take responsibility for yourself! No one can do this for you; Given the right tools in your hand is not enough; You need to learn how to swing the hammer time and time again Before you can live a skillful life. You are the hammer and the carpenter. Taking responsibility is not easy! But once you've felt the handle of the hammer there is no turning back! There is no skill to Master; The greatest skill to Master is You! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- We invite you to learn how to Unlock your Potential! - Daode Qigong - https://www.daodeqigong.com/qigong-and-tai-chi-option Live Online Qigong & Tai chi Classes via Skype Qigong System to Empower your Life and Learn Authentic Daoism: Daogong
20.01.2022 Taiji (Tai chi) is practiced slow. It is also practiced using relaxed movements. Somehow this results in good health and a strong body! This is not initially clear but with practice and with time, one can start to feel the remarkable changes happening inside the body. Taiji practice is like following a recipe; You need to carefully gather the ingredients (the internal and external principles) and follow the recipe; follow the steps with repetition. Not only through repetitio...n, but through careful, correct repetition of the formula we can obtain and enjoy the results! The results are not all explained to each Taiji student. This is part of the beauty and fun of Taiji practice. The student is given the recipe; the formula, but the amazing things that are born from that is something the student must nurture and discover for him/herself. Naturally, the results obtained are equal to the efforts one puts into working out the Taiji principles through practice and as a result not only is the practitioner working out the principles, they are also "working out" themselves. It's like looking into a mirror and noticing something different every time. Practice is repetition and can only happen through repetition. Repetition only counts as repetition if it is careful, precise repetition. If the water stopped repeating its flow down the side of a cliff, the waterfall would cease. If the bird stopped flapping its wings in mid-flight it would fall the ground. If the heart didn't repeat its beat, the expansion and contraction of breathing would also cease. Repeat to get results. Also be aware of what actions you are repeating over and over in your daily life; This will shape your Life and your Destiny! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- We invite you to learn Traditional Taiji - Learn the Internal Principles! https://www.daodeqigong.com/skype-consult-offer-taichi Live Online Qigong & Tai chi Classes via Skype Wu Hao Style Taiji & Qigong System to Empower your Life and Learn Authentic Daoism: Daogong
16.01.2022 The Body is like a beast that cannot be tamed but it will behave if you do the right things... Laozi said: "Hard and strong are disciples of death,... 13.01.2022 For every technological device that makes your life 'easier' or adds a form to entertain yourself remember to ask; "What has been gained, and in place, what has been lost?". It's easy to see what has been "gained" but not so easy to see what has been "lost". In other words, how are the things you use in you life changing YOU, is it for the better, and what are you not aware of "losing" - is it worth it? Modern Life tunes humans away from the subtle life-energy coursing throug...h the body; The mind is active like a fire and it cannot settle enough to hear the whispers through the crackling of its flames as it sears through thoughts burning the very fuel of Life like an endless stash of coal. If you could learn to tune into the whispers of the body, the whispers of Life, what would the whispers by trying to say?! When the volume is turned down in one thing, it increases the volume of something else. That 'something else' it truly amazing and has a LOT to say if you will take a moment to Listen! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- We invite you to learn how to Tune in to your Life Energy! - Daode Qigong - https://www.daodeqigong.com/qigong-and-tai-chi-option Live Online Qigong & Tai chi Classes via Skype Qigong System to Empower your Life and Learn Authentic Daoism: Daogong

06.01.2022 Why do we need Qigong if we sleep every night? Sleep is supposed to be the time when you rest and recover from each day and daily activity. Sometimes a Day in the Life can be like a Battle! It's also important to ask; Is it simply enough to get a lot or sleep or extra sleep to recover? The truth is, not all sleep is made equal! The quality of your sleep depends on the quality of your waking state;... - Were you stressed during the day? - Did you have a lot to think about during the day and had many problems to solve? - When you got home did you argue with a family member? - In the evening did you bathe yourself in bright, white LED lights? - Did you stare at your phone or computer screen and let your eyes fall asleep being flooded by the artificial light? And also ask; - What did you do to calm your thoughts and emotions when it's time to rest? - What did you do to nurture a state of rest and recovery by creating an supportive environment that signals your body to enter deep sleep? If you relax before you go to sleep your sleep quality will be much better. Likewise if you go to sleep tense, your sleep will be tense. This is why Qigong exercises are designed to align body, energy and mind such that we learn how to enter a harmonic state at the end of the day. Even better; start the day with Qigong too! Start the day energised and end the day relaxed. Then you can do your daily deeds efficiently and empowered which leads to good sleep and good sleep leads to an empowered waking state. This is an example of Ying/Yang dynamics in daily life. Learn to enter a deep sleep (yin) state and then you can enjoy the benefits of a powerful (yang) waking state! The two perpetuate each other because yin leads to yang and yang leads to yin. This is why you need Qigong: because Qigong gives you the tools to live a better life whether awake of asleep! Are you making the most of the daily Yin/Yang cycles of your body? ----------------------------------------------------------------------- We invite you to learn how to Empower yourself! - Daode Qigong - https://www.daodeqigong.com/skype-consult-offer Live Online Qigong & Tai chi Classes via Skype Qigong System to Empower your Life and Learn Authentic Daoism: Daogong
06.01.2022 Moving the Body not only moves the muscles but it also makes the heart work more; more blood is pumped and moved about the body, the breathing muscles are exercised and lungs are trained to increase their capacity. This is why we use movement as exercise. Something else also happens when we move the body and exercise; Qi/energy also activates and moves. When we consider the most prevalent type of exercise such as running/jogging and lifting weights/resistance training, the em...phasis here is on the movement of the heart and lungs, blood and fluids, tissues, joints and muscles. Any Qi/energy movements are purely incidental. Qigong is the Art of carefully tuning into the body and moving the body in such a way that it nurtures Harmonic Qi movement in the body and strengthens the channel/meridian connections. This subtle energy is the missing piece that connects the body as a functioning, Living Whole, as opposed to separate components of 'hardware' joined together. Once you learn to 'Tune in' to the secret movements happening behind the scenes, Movement is never the same again, and something as simple as moving your body becomes a pleasure! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- We invite you to learn how to Discover and Harmonise your Qi! - Daode Qigong - https://www.daodeqigong.com/skype-consult-offer Live Online Qigong & Tai chi Classes via Skype Qigong System to Empower your Life and Learn Authentic Daoism: Daogong
06.01.2022 Dare to Surprise Yourself! If you never face a challenge hard enough, how will you know you had the Strength? Even in failure, it helps us understand the road better. How wide it is, how much grip there is, it's bends and twists. Nobody likes Hardship but without challenges you cannot Grow.... . If you have no hardship and everything is easy, and everyone gives you everything you want, eventually, this lack of hardship will become a hardship in itself. Without wishing for challenges, they will come. Therefore, simply live every moment of your life. Enjoy and be Ready!
