24.01.2022 Well that’s it again massive thank you to all that made the season a success Just a couple of quick reminders: 1. Sporting clubs are only as good as the people that are in them and how much they get involved. Volunteers and committee members are critical to making this club a success and we are always willing to accept offers of assistance. If you are keen to get involved in the club by volunteering to be on the committee please do so when we are all able to get back toge...ther again we will be holding our AGM 2. If you haven’t already collected your trophy and photos (if you ordered them) and dropped off your playing shirt please contact Nathan 3. If we in a normal situation of having our presentation all together, we would have had it at the Albion Park Bowling Club and been supported by Dan and Meagan at Park Bistro. They have just opened back up again for takeaway, delivery and limited dining in, check them out and support those that support our club! All the best for a safe and happy rest of 2020 Regards Dapto Chiefs Junior Baseball Club Committee

19.01.2022 Under 8s Gold Team consisted of: Logan Annesley Mark Baziak Corey Bond... Taawera Kouka Jack Linigen Lachlan Montanaro Kody Nigro Ethan Pearce Chad Plekan Lincoln Rogers Murphy Patrick Shillito Words from Coach Shannon So ends another great season, First and foremost I’d like to thank the club for the opportunity to coach on their behalf again, I’d like to thank the Parents for their cooperation with the club ie. BBQ’s, setup and pack up of games. And your patience with me. I’d like to thank the kids for making this season as enjoyable as it was and coming week in week out willing to learn and have fun, without the parents and the kids we wouldn’t have a club. I’d like to also thank Jackie for scoring for us this season and also Chris for assistant coaching, you guys have made our team very easy to organise and have kept everything running smoothly all season. Thank you also to Dave, Meghan & John from Under 8’s Blue for also coaching this season, you guys have done an amazing job with the kids. Thank you finally to Craig for giving our kids the opportunity to gain some experience with the Zooka team. In addition to the individual participation awards, there are two team awards, a Coaches Award and an Encouragement Award: Coaches Award: This player has played consistently well all year. He has trained and played with more hunger than anyone yet remained humble the whole time, This payer has played a few games for the Zooka team also this season and has shown that he can play at a level on par with some of the bigger kids. Always willing to help his team mates and never a disruption. Our MVP for this year goes to: Lachlan Montanaro, Excellent work buddy. Encouragement Award: This player is new to teeball, has been eager to learn and improve from the minute he but his glove on to the minute we pack up each week. Not once this season has he ever stepped out of line, not listened or caused disruption. Although he didn’t play every game, the games he missed were for medical reasons and he still made a massive effort to turn up and sit on the sideline to cheer his team on and show amazing team spirit. This player managed to even play one game with plaster casts on both legs and never gave up. He would put in 100% every week and would play until he couldn’t play anymore. The Coaches award this year goes to: Patrick Shilito, Good work mate!

14.01.2022 Little League Team consisted of: Flinn Anderson Thomas Baltoski Ava Browne... Jake Browne Jye Douglas Lochlan Hammond Ethan Kirchberg Ashton Leicht Jarrod Martin Isaac Oldfield Rhys Plekan Odhinn Taylor-Garrett Words from Coach Nathan Little League Majors came into the 2019-20 season without a big chunk of our 2018-19 Premiership winning team however I was confident that we would meet our main goals of developing our baseball knowledge and skills, while having some fun and winning a few games. While we struggled a bit at the start of the season up against some quality Little League baseballers from both Pirates and Cardinals, we seemed to get plenty of small things that didn't quite go our way at some stages and its amazing how these small things can change the course of a game. I am so proud of the kids and how they handled themselves during the season during some tough times and how they picked themselves and each other up at the end of the game ready to have another crack the next week. Our season really showed how small improvements each week can lead to big improvements by the end of the season, what was pleasing was that our improvement was constant, consistent and visible throughout the season. Big thanks to the parents, grandparents and family members of this group of kids for putting in the effort getting the kids to training and games and extra big special thanks to Marty for being our stand in umpire and base coach and to Heather for scoring each week. To have you guys there week after week takes a massive load off me and lets me focus on the team and the game. In addition to the individual participation awards, there are two team awards, a Most Improved Player and a Most Valuable Player: Most Improved Player: Isaac Oldfield. Issac may have been a first time baseballer but his sporting ability was pretty clear from day 1. At bat his good hand-eye coordination got the ball into play and his speed got him on base. Always willing to learn, he was a great asset to the team. Well done Isaac Most Valuable Player: Ashton Leicht. Ashton really stood up as a leader on and off the field this season. He led the team in number of hits, took on the main pitching responsibilities and directed traffic around the field helping the rest of the team when needed. His efforts were rewarded with being awarded a joint winner for the Most Valuable Player for the Illawarra Junior Baseball League in the Little League age group. Well done Ash

Samuel Hardes Gage Puckeridge Talon Smith Lilly Tozer Millicent Wagstaff Maverick Wagstaff Words from Coach David A big thank you to all of the parents who assisted at training, game day or in general, through my first season as coach. John (assistant coach): thanks for your time, effort and patience, we couldn't have made it through the season without you. Shannon (Chiefs Gold Coach): Thanks for the technical knowledge and support during the season, it is greatly appreciated. In addition to the individual participation awards, there are two team awards: Coaches Award goes to Gage Puckeridge. Gage was an enthusiastic fielder and big hitter who played hard and fair, both at training and on game day. Encouragement Award goes to Lilly Tozer. Always polite and a pleasure to coach, Lilly trained hard and continually increased her skills throughout the season. Shannon (Chiefs Gold Coach): Thanks for the technical knowledge and support during the season, it is greatly appreciated. I look forward to seeing you all next season.

10.01.2022 Hi guys, mid week competition is coming back soon, RSVP by 5th November Please inform IJBL Registrar Glenn if you are wishing to play with your player's name and current League Age, he can be emailed at [email protected]
10.01.2022 Part of the whole COVID-19 stuff has a potential to impact our membership and funds for the upcoming season so we have secured a Bunnings BBQ as they startup with the plan being to build up some funds before the season starts. Saturday 15th August 8am to 4pm, there is some changes to the system imposed by Bunnings to keep us all in a safe space and these can and will be explained but the main one is that we need EXACTLY 5 people at all times, no more, no less can be there. As such the roster is even more important so I am looking to set up times in 2 to 3 hour slots, if you are able to assist please let me know what times suit ASAP
09.01.2022 Firing up for the 2020-21 IJBL Season!

05.01.2022 Junior League Team consisted of: Benjamin Bone Zac Cuthbert Tay Fleming... Josiah Kirchberg Mana Kouka Cooper McMaster Will Noyce Quinlan Pitt Riley Plekan Ethan Reid Bailey Rosser Cooper Stephens Matthew Ursino Words from Coaches Jye and Marty Congratulations to all the kids on a great season despite missing out on the opportunity to play in the Grand Final which we were a very good chance of winning, it was a very rewarding season of baseball. Some special thank you’s to be sent out, thank you Peter Sharp for assisting with the umpiring duties and for taking on the role of BP pitcher at training. Thank you to Piper Stephens for scoring and to Jason McMaster and Lachlan Rosser for assisting as base coaches when needed. Also thanks to Tay Fleming for coming to play with a Chiefs as a friendship player and to Cooper McMaster for making the trip down from Canberra each week. In addition to the individual participation awards, there are two team awards, a Most Improved Player and a Most Valuable Player: Most Improved Player goes to Zac Cuthbert. Zac has seen a remarkable improvement this year with some great hits and he is an absolute pleasure to coach and I am sure all his team mates will agree and have liked the weekly chewing gum or lollies he brings Most Valuable Player goes to Tay Fleming. Although a friendship player he was a vital part of our team not only throwing extremely well and very hard his batting has started to come along showing a lot of power and he did this all season.
