16.01.2022 We are having a break over Easter. Last day practice open Wednesday 12 th April. Re-open Wednesday 26th April. Have a safe and relaxing holiday. See you soon

16.01.2022 Dapto Physiotherapy remains open at present. The Federal Health Minister has encouraged private practices to remain open if possible. We are lucky we have plenty of hand sanitiser and alcohol wipes, combined with individual treatment rooms where we can well and truly maintain social distancing. We are screening patients at the time of booking and on presentation at reception. We ask that you be truthful if you have been overseas in the last 14 days, have been in contact with ...someone who has Covid 19 or have a fever or cough. We have a maximum of 3 people in the waiting room at present. Please wait outside if it is full. There is hand sanitiser at reception and in each room. We use alcohol wipes on the beds in between treatments. We have a large selection of braces and moonboots. We also apply waterproof plasters. If you are elderly and don’t want to risk going out and live in Dapto ring reception and see if we can arrange a home visit. See more

06.01.2022 Things continue to change day to day. We are still open and taking limited patients so that we can maintain social distancing. At this stage it looks as though the health funds plan to come on board with telehealth consultations on 14th April 2020 ie. they will rebate for a telehealth consultation. We can already do video links preferably for Medicare Enhanced Primary Care Plans, DVA and Workers Compensation but they have to be pre-approved by your GP or case manager. If you ...do not have a computer, ipad or iphone that has a camera and microphone/speaker then we can do a consult over the phone and I can email you advice/exercise programmes. Your device should be OK if it is from 2010 and later. You can test your device by typing covui into google and choose Covui Telehealth Made Easy and choose the Pre call Test option on the google page. Run this test and it will let you know if your device is suitable for a telehealth consultation in regards to camera, audio and microphone. Another option is to get a friend or relative to set you up with a different device. And if all else fails we can talk over the phone. It appears that they would prefer video consults but if you don’t have the technology phone consults are the next best thing. The practice remains open and we are treating patients as per normal. As of Monday 6th April there have been no further shutdowns and as long as we have cleaning/disinfecting products we can remain open - at this stage.
