15.01.2022 From Wollongong City Council: WEST DAPTO ACCESS: KARRARA BRIDGE AND LINK OPEN AS WORK IS FINALISED We’re incredibly proud to have Karrara Bridge at Fowlers Road open to motorists, pedestrians and cyclists providing a new flood-reliable access link between Dapto and West Dapto. We hope you’ve had the opportunity to drive, walk or ride over this critical piece of infrastructure and we say thank you for your understanding and patience as we complete this significant project. ... We had planned for a community bridge walk before it opened to traffic, but unfortunately Coronavirus (Covid-19) has prevented this. We hope to have an opportunity to acknowledge this achievement with the community in the future. While the bridge is open, the work continues. You’ll see us on site for the next month or so finalising the remaining jobs on the project. These will include landscaping, signage and line marking. Traffic may be affected at times during this work.
