22.01.2022 Like so many people in the world Our Legendary Australian Karate athlete @mitchell.durham had his life turned upside down when Covid-19 hit. He was on track to reaching his goal to represent Australia at the Olympics before getting sent home from Slovakia due to the circumstances. Mitch found that without the drive to constantly prepare for competition he had found himself feeling flat and lost his motivation. ... We had a long conversation about using this time wisely and rediscovering his love for training and karate without the relentless pressure of competition and performing. 11.01.2022 This is @taniataddei03. Tania first came to us in November 2018 and has been working closely with @danstead12. Diagnosed with Patellafemoral OA and degenerative changes. Couldn’t squat or go up and down stairs. With some surgical assistance from @drrossradic and persistent hydrotherapy and strengthening rehab, we got to her final goal of getting up the stairs at @optusstadium stadium to watch her belvoed west coast eagles. 11.01.2022 Get to know ya Neck. The spine is such a beautifully intricate part of our skeleton. 7 joints make up our cervical spine and it’s very important to tune into these mobile articulations. Mindfully tuning in to the huge range of available movements at our neck ensures we reduce any build up of tension in the muscles connecting our cervical and thoracic spine to our shoulder blades. Muscles which classically get tight and painful in our daily lives.... The more you move, the more coordinated your movements get and the more mobile you can become. Moving in this way is very nourishing for the joints in your spine and helps the spine to adapt in a very healthy way. 06.01.2022 Continuing to learn to bend with the wind. Continuing to tune into the suppleness and develop capacity of the spine and the rest of the body. 3 years ago at th...e Ido Portal Motion intensive, attempting this back bridge rotation felt like it nearly snapped by back. I certainly sprained and irritated some facet joints in my mid to low back which took months to settle. I was too tight through the shoulders, hips and too stiff through the thoracic to execute such a task. Looking at it now, it’s far from perfect and I have lot more opening to do! But with some consistency and by trusting the process the body is getting there. This movement is now pain free and feels great! At 33 I’m moving better then I did at 23. And I plan on being more open, more strong and resilient at 43. #quietmind #openheart #spinalflow #yoga #idoportalmethod #functionalrangeconditioning

03.01.2022 Musculoskeletal Screening for injury prevention. Here @ellattaylor from @insidewais netball and @chcomets_wanl is running through her screening. She’s moving well and looking strong but there’s always little things to work on. We know it’s a short preseason which brings some unknowns and potential injury concerns. We have our services available to screen any athlete from any club. The same screening we use for @westcoastfeverofficial, WAIS and @westcoastwarriorswa athletes. F...rom the screening we provide rehab/ prehab exercises to minimise the chance of any injury. Furthermore injury prevention = performance.
