19.01.2022 Five flyers turned out at Beverly on Sunday for Burford Duration and Nostalgia. Weather conditions were perfect and it was a pity that more people didn't take a...dvantage of the opportunity. The standard in Burford was commendably high and three of the five competitors scored three maxes to qualify for the fly off. Winner was Greg McClure with an outstanding fly off flight over thirteen minutes. As can be seen from the photos Greg's model looked an unlikely contender for a power duration comp but it certainly performed especially on the glide. Nostalgia was a walkover for Ian Dixon who reeled off three effortless maxes with his .40 powered Spacer to win easily. Hans Van Leeuwin would have offered serious competition with his Lucky Lindy had he not crashed following radio failure. Attached photos courtesy of Fred Tower.
