16.01.2022 *****Re-opening Announcement***** From the 28th October we will be able to open for outdoor Sit-down dining. (Provided the daily COVID-19 case numbers have dropped to the acceptable level). Fortunately for us our verandah areas are classed as outdoor so we can accommodate bookings for our Front verandah Rear courtyard... And our main dining verandah is partitioned into two separate areas with separate entrances. At this stage we do not know how many patrons we can seat at once or how many at one table. For certain we will be maintaining social distancing between tables and continuing the level of cleanliness we did between lockdowns. We as Victorians have done such a great job so far staying at home and keeping safe which gives us back a big chunk of our freedom AND ALSO allows us to re-open our doors to you in just under 2 weeks. We look forward to re-opening the Café on the 21st of October which is the Wednesday following the easing of restrictions for the third step as per government regulations if everything stays on track. ... We have been working closely behind the scenes developing a COVID-SAFE operating plan once we re-open and will inform you of our initiatives we are taking to make sure your visit and experience at the Dark Horse Café will be out of harm’s way. 13.01.2022 COVID-19 restrictions on restaurants in Victoria have not changed as it was expected they would from yesterday. What this means for us. We are able to seat up to 20 people per indoor space. With 10 people being allowed to be seated at one table. We are fortunate that we have 3 separate indoor spaces, plus our covered in front verandah area. Our tables used at present are more than 1.5 metres apart and we are continuing strict hygiene and sanitizing standards that include wip...ing all our menus, salt n pepper shakers, water jugs, eftpos machine, tables and chairs between patrons. Our tables are only set when patrons are seated with cutlery, glassware and water jugs. And we are frequently sanitizing our restrooms and high touch areas - such as door handles and bench tops. To book a table for a meal, please head online to our website www.darkhorse-cafe.com.au we are open Wednesday-Friday 9am -4pm and Saturday/Sunday 8.30am-4.30pm (our kitchen closes an hour prior to closing). We are happy to take bookings for morning and afternoon tea during quiet times but due to limited seating restrictions bookings for meals will take priority. Part of the restrictions to be able to open are we must obtain any patrons name and mobile number that is on our premises for more than 15 minutes.
