06.01.2022 Brisbane Water Police District are seeking two Aboriginal paintings (1.2m x 0.8m) for the public foyer of the newly renovated Gosford Police Station. The previous information circulated indicated we were looking for the work to be completed on a voluntarily basis. I am pleased to advise, this will now be a paid project, with fees to be negotiated with the successful artist. The artist should live within the Brisbane Water Police District which extends from the Hawkesbury R...iver in the south, to Ourimbah in the north. I know we have some very good local artists. 01.01.2022 inBINgenous Art Competition has now been launched! See the promo video here https://youtu.be/Hto53oDpeqQ with registration details below video. People that register early may be eligible to receive a bin art pack to assist in participating in the comp.... Please share as widely as you can on all your media platforms. I have also attached a flyer that can be printed and physically put up within your communities that has a flash identity code image on it that can be scanned by phone so that people can watch the video and register for the comp. If your communities do not have internet reception where you are please display the flyers where possible and encourage people to view the video either in the office or at venues with internet access. Look forward to receiving registrations so we can get art packs out to eligible communities and people can start enjoying the comp painting up bins and creating waste reduction pledges over summer with family and friends! (Entries open January 4 to February 26th)
