Winners to be announced later this evening 2 tournaments down - 2 to go! Come on down tomorrow to see the War in the West Rapier tournament in the morning and the Open Weapons tournament in the afternoon.

16.01.2022 Throwback to WitW 2017 - we had such a small turnout to our rapier tournament that we decided to go a little wylde and try something different. It worked so well that we brought it to the rest of the country at WitW 2019, AND EVERYONE LOVED IT! While we work through the massive backlog of photos from the weekend, enjoy some snaps of the inception of this fun little ruleset. More to come!

16.01.2022 The War is over for another year and what a War in the West it has been! We have a lot of people to thank for making this happen: Firstly - thank you to our sponsors for your generous prizes. There were a lot of new and established suppliers to the Australian HEMA market showcasing some exciting new products so we'll be putting links to all the sponsors up shortly. Secondly - the admin staff, without you we could not run an event with the precision and professionalism we have... become known for. Thank you to everyone who dedicated time over the event to help with scoring, arena management, reffing, flagging, safety marshaling & media. Thank you to our medics who thankfully didn't have much to do except enjoy the event. Thank you to all the interstate fencers who traveled to Perth to compete. It was wonderful to see old friends again and meet new ones. The WitW 2019 eastern contingent was the largest we've ever had and we hope you all enjoyed it! Thank you to the local Perth schools and clubs for supporting War in the West including all those who encouraged their friends and family to come down to watch some of the best HEMA fighters in Australia compete! We'll be sending out a feedback form for all competitors and spectators to complete so we can continue to make this one of the best HEMA events in Australia. Thank you all for your continued support!
