21.01.2022 DOUBLE STANDARD We have seen the over the top restrictive nature of this state governments Veg management laws. These laws have made it very difficult to run an... economically viable operation. We have been painted as evil destroyers of the environment. Many of the photos portraying open country that have been used to paint us in that light are of country that is NATURALLY open. Country that has been responsibly managed by landholders has minimal weeds, balanced vegetation, lower fire risk than natural parks, good grasscover preventing erosion, and a beneficial level of tree cover. It provides a haven for wildlife as well as livestock and in many cases allows wildlife to increase due to the provision of water where previously there was none. Then we see this. The wholesale destruction of bushland for urban development. Not a tree left standing. No grass, no wildlife - except for the ones they killed.
