25.01.2022 Contrary to claims by federal and state government ministers that new dams are not being built in Australia, The Australia Institute's research shows 20 to 30 l...arge new dams have been recently constructed, funded at least in part by the taxpayer. "They are all for private use -- and we're talking tens and possibly hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars that have gone into subsidising these new dams," says Maryanne Slattery, senior water reseacher at The Australia Institute. The reason politicians won’t talk about these dams is that they do nothing for drought-stricken communities, the health of the river or struggling farmers. 11.01.2022 An excellent piece from the heart of an environmental lawyer deeply engaged in the MDB Plan. Thanks, Emma Carmody for writing about our Darling Baaka. Deserves a wide audience, you know what to do.

11.01.2022 For those of you who might be interested in the more technical stuff. At last light river at the Cafe was at 2.65 metres. The salinity reading when it arrived a...t the weir rose to 3,000 whatevers. This salinity 'slug' however was no where near as widespread as expected, with the salinity reading at the multi-purpose park of 300 whatevers (I am really up with this technical jargon). See more

08.01.2022 NSW Water Minister Melinda Pavey...i suggest you talk to your people before you make such a statement..Minister Pavey told Chris Kenny today on SKY, that the M...enindee Lakes System had 400 gigs in it at the moment. I suggest Minister Pavey that you do some research prior to announcing such false figures to the media and their listeners. I suppose you are only 125 gigs short (as per attached).
