22.01.2022 There are SO many health benefits to spending time outdoors, in the garden Here's just a few reasons: It's a great way to relax, providing opportunities to still the mind and get away from the busyness of everyday life. Repetitive tasks like weeding provide an opportunity for meditation.... It's a good chance to engage with nature and take a break from screens. It's great exercise for your mind, and your body too. If you are spending time in your garden, don't forget to wear sunscreen (the higher the SPF the better), regularly drink water, and aim for shade. #happygardening

19.01.2022 This is your friendly reminder to keep washing your hands correctly! A thorough 20 second hand washing routine can protect you and others from a range of diseases, so its important to wash your hands regularly with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser. Commonly missed spots include fingertips, thumbs and back of hands so make sure you’re washing every part of your hands. #stopthespread

17.01.2022 Today marks one year since Queensland announced its first case of COVID-19. It’s been a long, emotional, turbulent and unprecedented time. This pandemic has affected every person in one way or another. We know how hard these past twelve months have been on our community, and we're thinking about the families and friends who lost loved ones to COVID-19. ... Looking back on the last 12 months it's clear that the commitment, care and sheer dedication from Queenslanders has placed our state in the strong position it is in today. We are still in the middle of this pandemic, we haven't conquered it yet. But we've come along way thanks to Queenslanders and our frontline staff. Let's keep up the good work and together we can beat COVID-19. Stay vigilant, and stay safe. #allinthistogether
