24.01.2022 Hi everyone, It is that time of year for our fourth annual Dazzlers Performing Arts Weekend, to be held on the 4th & 5th April at the USQ Concert Hall. First thing you will notice is that we are holding it at the start of the Easter holidays, due to the fact that ANZAC Day falls on the weekend we would normally run it. That also means that the closing date is on the 15th March, so I would like you all to please distribute the attached flyer and application as soon as you c...an. This activity is available to all youth members, and Leaders, from the age of seven years, if you wish to either sing, dance and act, or to learn about sound, lighting, costuming, or production of a show. If you would like to assist in actually teaching the youth members over the weekend in any of those areas that would also be considered. The aim of the weekend is to give the youth members and Leaders involved a taste of what it is like to perform or be involved in a technical or production role, with the weekend ending in a one hour long performance hopefully fully run by youth members on the Sunday afternoon. (We did achieve this in the 2019 workshop) Thank you all for your assistance in getting the word out, Russell (Darling Downs Region Performing Arts) Link to download the flyer and application forms. https://app.box.com/s/glnrhvyk3nodx9p8e0032yjw0sff08o8

Roll Up! Roll Up! Join us at Dazzlers Circus, a show filled with wonder, fantasy and comedy. Marvel at our crazy clowns, our awe-inspiring acrobats and our band of curious oddities. It is a fun filled family show that is colourful, energetic and like no circus youve ever seen before. Dazzlers Circus dares you to dream as our sensational singers, dazzling dancers and many more, take you on a journey of amazement, Under The Big Top! Is The Show Still Going To Be On? The short answer is:- Yes, we are hopeful it will go ahead. The long answer:- In the current climate, even though restrictions are being relaxed, there is still uncertainty and we cannot at this stage say for certain the show will go ahead. We do know that if you want to wait for a definite answer before joining you will be too late as applications will be closed, or even worse we have to cancel due to not meeting our minimum number of cast members needed to produce the show.

21.01.2022 Got some time Sunday afternoon the 28th April and looking for something different to do. The Scouts and Guides participating in Dazzlers Theatrical Workshop are looking for an audience to help spur on their performance. Have a look at the video and what they have achieved after a day of rehearsals. They have another morning and then they perform. Performance at the University of Southern Queenslands Concert Hall, Block Q1. The one hour performance starts at 2pm and will cost you a gold coin at the door.

20.01.2022 2019 Production is midway through rehearsals. Cast is doing exceptionally well with their dialogue and vocals. They are working hard on the choreography. It is quite challenging this year. Props are looking amazing. Costumes are a challenge, but coming along well. We have a few surprises for the audience. Looking forward to seeing all our supporters in the audience. Bring friends. It is going to be a great show.

19.01.2022 The stage is almost ready. There is only one more sleep till opening night. We have released some more tickets for Friday night as it was almost sold out. (Still plenty of tickets available for the Saturday shows). Have you got yours yet? Go to www.darlingdownsrevue.org.au now to get your ticket to see Dazzlers Circus.

19.01.2022 Hundreds of hours of detailed historical research have been completely ignored in this production. While the concepts are factual, we are fairly confident that it didnt happen quite the way we present it. Did rock music begin with cave men? Will Shakespeare still be loved in the distant future? What is the future of the Millennials? These questions and many more may or may not be answered. Perfect for anyone that does, or does not like history, this variety show (Revue) will have you tapping along with a great mix of songs, wonderful dance pieces and loads of skits as we present different moments in history the way we think they should have happened! Performed by the Guides and Scouts of the Darling Downs Region.
