22.01.2022 SA Health has confirmed that Thebarton Senior College can reopen on Monday 17 August. This is because by Monday all students and staff will have completed the ...quarantine or self-isolation period. To make reopening the school run smoothly, each year level will start on a different day: Year 12 students will return to school from Monday 17 August. Year 11 students will return to school from Tuesday 18 August. New Arrivals Program (NAP) students will return from Wednesday 19 August.

13.01.2022 Today is the first day of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic year. While practices and gatherings will be quite different this year, it is still possible... to pray, reflect and share with your loved ones while remaining COVID safe. If you are unwell or have cold and flu symptoms, even mild, stay home and get tested for COVID-19. You can only have up to 10 people visit your home, in addition to those who normally live in your home, up to a maximum of 20 people. This includes children. Gatherings in a private place, other than a private residence (indoor or outdoor) can have up to 100 people attending. There must not be more than 1 person per 2 square metres in places of worship. A COVID Marshal must be present during ceremonies. Remember to keep 1.5 metres distance from others where possible, wash hands regularly, bring your own prayer mat and wipe down mats between use. Only the children of ESSENTIAL workers and vulnerable children will be able to attend school or preschool / child care. A skeleton staff will provide supervision but not a learning program for the remainder of this week. 11.01.2022 Dear parent/caregiver, The Premier today announced that schools and preschools will reopen to all students on Monday 23 November. As a result, Darlington Primary School will be open and operating as normal.... We will not be offering an alternative home-based learning program. OSHC will operate as usual. As the Chief Public Health Officer said, just because the hard lockdown is being lifted does not mean that the risks associated with COVID-19 have passed. As a result we will minimise the number of people coming and going from our site. Wherever possible, please drop and collect your child at the gate and maintain the appropriate physical distance from other adults. More information on excursions, events and sporting activities, and use of masks will be available soon. Thank you very much for your support over the last couple of days. Pip or class teachers will be in contact with you to ensure we are all following Health Department Guidelines.... Families are welcome to wait for your children in the yard. We ask that you maintain social distancing at all times. We are asking families not to go into buildings to collect students as we cant monitor the social distancing rules. The breakfast program will continue to be for students only. We will make further changes once we have determined the ongoing rules about food sharing and use of cups, plates and cutlery. Congratulations to Izzy from Darlington Primary School on receiving the Parliamentary Medal and Mia from Warradale Primary School on receiving the Corey Wingard Medal. 07.01.2022 We have had a busy two weeks leading to the end of the school year. On Monday of week 8 all students achievements in the Premiers Be Active and the Premiers Reading Challenge received their awards and medal. The netball teams and their coaches were acknowledged.... We had crazy hat day as a fun day and sweets were sold to raise money. On Monday this week all students spent time in their new classes for 2021. We will have 9 mainstream and 4 IEL programs for the start of the school year. We have slowly undertaken the staffing for 2021, but have appointments that need to be made. We hope it will all be finalised by the middle of next week.

A child of compulsory school age must attend the school theyre enrolled in every day. If a child fails to attend school without a reasonable excuse then each person who is responsible for the child is guilty of an offence. The maximum penalty for this is $5,000. Do not go shopping or to restaurants shop online or have family or friends deliver what you need to your door. Do not have visitors at your home. 03.01.2022 - : ASMS impacted by Flinders Uni Sturt Campus health advice. Staff and students at the Australian Science & Mathematics School (ASMS) are to work/...study from home on Monday 30 November. This is to allow anyone who visited the nearby Sturt Campus of Flinders University at any time from 13 November to 28 November to isolate and seek a COVID-19 test in line with SA Health requirements. There is no indication that any member of ASMS has COVID-19 or is a close contact of a confirmed case. Because of this ASMS does not need to close for deep cleaning at this time. However, due to the use of the Pantry and Café on Sturt Campus it is expected that many staff will be getting tested and isolating awaiting the result. Therefore the school will not open as normal tomorrow Monday 30 November. Students can contact teachers online if they need support. The school community has been informed.
