So great to see students participating in all events and for the first time ever we had high jump and discus, along with our usual track events, shot out and long jump. Thank you to the P&C for providing the sausage sizzle lunch and ice blocks. There should be some weary kiddos tonight (along with some weary teachers ). Who will be the winning house????

22.01.2022 Bridge Road School is excited to announce their new landscaped forest area is now available for hire. The forest features a huge undercover deck, kids bike track, ninja obstacle course and yarning circle. It's perfect for kids parties, family gatherings and social get togethers. Onsite parking and toilets are available. Bridge Road School is a specialist setting with expert staff providing intensive intervention for complex learners. All students at Bridge Road School are K...nown, Valued and Cared for. Due to the fact Bridge Road School is a small specialist setting with no P & C, they are hoping that their new forest will help raise much needed funds for their school. Keep this venue in mind for your next party or get together and support this amazing little public school.

20.01.2022 3/4 Platypus have been studying a unit called 'Different environments' - looking at the natural characteristics of Australia and some other places in the world, in particular the continents of South America. Students were then invited to choose an ecosystem or biome of their chosen country and make a diorama which could include native flora & fauna, landforms etc. They were then asked to present their work to the whole class delivering a 1-2 minute talk about it. Amazing efforts from the students and their families :)

12.01.2022 National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Childrens Day on 4th August each year is a time for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities to celebrate the strengths and culture of our children. In 1988, the first National Aboriginal and Islander Childrens Day was established on 4 August and was set against the backdrop of protests led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their supporters during the bicentennial year. Aboriginal and To...rres Strait Islanders peoples felt a day was needed to celebrate our children, to give them confidence and make them feel special and included. The date 4 August was historically used to communally celebrate the birthdays of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who were taken from their families at a young age, without knowing their birthday the Stolen Generations.
