15.01.2022 Ever made a mistake? Okay, how about many mistakes? Whether it's a small mistake (like accidentally leaving out my plant in the sun too long and now it's sunburnt and also shrivelling up and I think it's dying but I don't want to think about the worse possible scenario too much and I can only hope that it is going to live) or a big mistake (like eating that really spicy spicy meal that at the time I thought was a good idea, but now my insides are paying the price). Oops -... too much information? Regardless of the scale of your mistake - every mistake is an opportunity to learn something new. If you keep making the same mistakes again and again and not learning from it, you'll never get anywhere! Try it out today. 12.01.2022 A little painting I worked on last week for a dear friend of mine If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on some paints, it’s one of my favourite ways to relax and be creative! I used oil paints on a canvas board for this piece. I love how oil takes longer to dry so you can blend colours together! Acrylic is definitely quicker and harder to work with if you do want to blend. ... My next piece I’ll paint will probably be a mix of both acrylic and oil! See more
11.01.2022 Today’s doodle - strawberry and cream sandos! (Sandwiches for any non-Aussie followers!) Story time: a long time ago (some might say two days ago) I was furiously hunting down supplies for Mother’s Day to make a delicious cheese platter, freshly baked scones and these strawberry and cheese sandwiches. I couldn’t find the premixed scones at our local supermarket, so I pressed my bf to let me check another nearby one to see if they had the mix. ... Good news! They did! I was in luck and bought an extra in case I’d need it for another time Bad news - it turns out Mother’s Day was actually the next weekend. So all the things I bought fresh, were not going to be fresh. So instead I did it today as an early Mother’s Day brunch. I hope you’re all having a wonderful start to your week!
