05.01.2022 Alhamdulillah, it was a good session today. Something we look forward to do more often InshaAllah. We shared a bit on DNA's history, our philosophy and the importance of recognising the ideological challenges of the modern age and why the development towards critical thinking is paramount to all our children and adults alike in our communities today. We also talked about our milestones for 2020 and some question/ answer session towards the end before we dive into the gene...rous spread of food that might get us going till dinner time!!.. My sincere thanks to all parents who were here today, Sr Tanzeela and her team, and the admin team for a truly wonderful year that is about to go. Thank you for supporting us.. Jazakallahu Khayran Kathiran Br Khairudin Ali

02.01.2022 Having gone over our discussion from the morning tea last week, we have been able to identify some key needs/concerns raised by the mothers who attended. Firstly, it was noted that while you were impressed with the creative pedagogy used in DNA that inspired curiosity in your kids, you were not so sure as to how to maintain this inquisitiveness at home. You wanted to know how you too could answer questions and foster discussions in a style that wasn’t ‘old school’. On the top...ic of question and answer, some of you revealed that your kids could be quite shy and reluctant when it comes to asking questions in class less so because of teachers, and more so because of peers. You requested that we facilitate an anonymous means to ask questions in class, possibly a box, or maybe an online form. This could be useful for those of you wanting to ask questions as well. As mentioned before, although this was an open morning tea for all parents, it was only mothers who attended! This was another concern raised: that fathers were not as proactive or involved in their children’s Islamic education, when they should be role models as well. So in addition to workshops to help parents respond to their children’s questions and foster their curiosity at home, we will look into some specific sessions to get our fathers involved as well. We have heard you, and insha’allah we will do our best to address these suggestions in the coming year. Finally, we posed the possibility of increasing our volunteer base, which was received with enthusiasm. As a result, we leave you with this form to express your interest: https://tinyurl.com/uu8be4l Jazakallah’khair for your time and interest

02.01.2022 Assalam'Alaykum (Peace be Unto You) Due to the current epidemic and restrictions in place, the team at Dar Nafisa Academy has decided to continue our term 2 lessons online. The decision was made in consideration to the ongoing social distancing regulations and the safety of our teachers and students. This is also to ensure our education program continues to function and benefit the community, and an opportunity to utilise different teaching methodologies adapting to the cur...rent economic, social and environmental conditions. For anyone who is not a registered parent and would like to know more about this program. Please email us at [email protected] or simply visit our website at www.darnafisaacademy.org Thank you for supporting us.... Wassalam, DNA Admin
