25.01.2022 Carnarvon Gorge-did a 25klm hike day 1 and climbed to Boolimba Bluff for a birds eye view the next day- another 7klm Now I’m going to make a short video to capture the surreal quality of the place - so stay tuned.....

24.01.2022 A mix of the week that’s been not everything went to plan- the food fridge wouldn’t run... choices move out some beer No way juggle around and squeeze the perishables in and just leave the non essential green stuff in the now not working cooler Fishing on the coast amazing weather for those of us who happen to, flat as Not happening.... boat motor went into safe mode just out of Mourilyan Harbour- so turn around and limp back - load up and off to the mechanics Upside have had FUN ALL ROUND

20.01.2022 My view of Carnarvon- in a short video - so much spectacular scenery it’s impossible to capture the true magnificence of the area. We walked to the end of the marked trail Big Bend relaxed and ate lunch, cooling our feet in the creek; just a quick stop. On the way back we checked out all the other worthwhile places that Milton had mentioned, notably the Moss Gardens, Amphitheater, Rock Art, Wards Canyon and the CathedralAbout 25 klm all up ; wisely we decided that Boolimba Bluff, was to be conquered the next day. The steep climb to the Bluff, 600+ steps and a few ladders wind up to an awesome sight over the gorge and then it’s the return trek 7 klm all up I finished my Carnarvon adventure with a chilly dip at the Rock Pool Getting to the Gorge is an easy drive all bitumen, many camping or cabin choices for your stay.

01.01.2022 Spent a few days in beautiful Hervey Bay with dear friends and took advantage of a Whale watching charter. What a truely magnificent creature it literally takes your breath away to watch them; unless of your me and you do a happy dance They didn’t venture too close to the boat so no real close ups - hope you enjoy this little video
