Positions available:... President ( 2 year term) Junior Vice President ( 2 year term) Treasurer ( 2 year term, committee appointed) 2 male committee members ( 2 year term) 1 female committee member ( 2 year term) Nomination forms are available on the dartswa website or contact Angela Fairman via email [email protected] Club secretaries have been sent nomination forms through club email. 17.01.2022 To my Darts Australia Family, Yesterday I was rushed to hospital and this afternoon surgeons will operate to remove a large benign brain tumour. All my efforts ...now must go into my rehabilitation should the operation be successful. So its with sadness that I inform you that I have resigned from my position as President of Darts Australia. It has been a pleasure to serve our dart players and affiliates, and to work with such a dedicated group of volunteers. I have met so many wonderful people and have travelled to many places through my involvement in darts and have made many lifelong friends. I wish each and every one of you the very best for the future and may you achieve all your dreams. Im signing off now as Deb and I with our familys support, take this next challenge head on. 14.01.2022 DARTS WESTERN AUSTRALIA INC At this time Darts Western Australia Inc Committee has decided to postpone all State Darts events. We will meet again on the 24th April and review the situation. We will follow the guidelines set down by our Politicians and Health advisors and feel it would be in the best interests of our members if all Associations do the same.... We feel that if we all do the right thing then maybe the virus can be contained more quickly. Many of our Associations are unable to hold their weekly competitions due to the regulations now set down for their venues. It will be appreciated if Associations can formally advise us of their decisions regards this matter as to whether you are monitoring the situation with the hope that your season can be postponed and then completed later in the year, as this is the intention of Darts Western Australia Inc and State run events. 13.01.2022 Sad to announce the passing of June Turner (Gurr). June was part of the group that helped negotiate the affiliation of Ladies darts. Also a State player and Captain in the early 70s. Played in Perth Ladies for many years. RIP June from all at Darts WA.

09.01.2022 2020 Official Season Statement DWA would like to announce that it has been decided that the Official 2020 Season is cancelled. Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic the committee has taken this action with the best interest of the Sport and players. On a brighter note, DWA will still be offering Competitive Competitions for the remaining of the year, where possible, to ensure our sport is still active as are our players.... The first competition will be the scheduled Wyatt Challenger to be held on July 4th at the Belmont Sport and Rec Centre. It is also our intention to hold: Open Singles Saturday 11th July Nominations close 9.30am B Grade Singles Sunday 12th July Nominations close 9.30am With more events to come Please be advised that the BSRC is a cashless bar and the services of food is suspended. BYO LUNCH.. Anyone whom intends to play are required to follow all Covid Plans put in place by BSRC and DWA. No spectators, players only IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ALL ASSOCIATIONS As a result of the decision to cancel the official season DWA has also cancelled the member fees of $30 per person and request that any associations that have paid contact Robyn McCloy for instruction on holding funds over to 2021 or refund. Associations are requested to forward payment of their $100 registration fee asap if they have not already done so..
