25.01.2022 STINGER SEASON STARTS EARLY Casuarina Beach had to be closed to swimmers over the weekend when a member of the Darwin Surf Life Saving Club was stung by a... jellyfish. Thankfully, we understand that person is recovering well. This is a reminder that although stinger season is generally from October to May, stings can happen year-round. And it's a good idea to keep vinegar in your car so that it's always on hand.

04.01.2022 ATTENTION DOG WALKERS Birdlife Top End was conducting their monthly shorebird survey over the weekend and was saddened to see so many people walking their d...ogs at Buffalo Creek. The beaches are classified as no dog zones due to the international importance of the site for the birds, some of which are facing extinction. "I call on the Darwin community to start caring about the biodiversity that makes Darwin WILD and the very reason so many people and tourists come to this natural and green city," said Amanda Lilleyman, BirdLife Top End.
