25.01.2022 Two articles published 73 years apart. Both celebrating the grant of a liquor licence to the Darwin Workers Club! The original article was published in The Northern Standard on 12 July 1946 and its successor appeared last week in the Workers Weekly Guardian. We look forward to cracking into our licence again when the new club venue is ready!

22.01.2022 Thanks to our patron Senator Malarndirri McCarthy - Northern Territory for opening our AGM and for shouting out the FNWA and explaining the struggles facing the Trade Union Movement from the federal Liberal government. The Committee supports the eradication of CDP, a program that encourages theft of labour and wages from our First Nations comrades.

06.01.2022 DWC members and guests - can you help an old comrade? A Go Fund Me page has been set up to raise money for a new scooter for our Club member and Number 10 cardholder, Gerry Copeland. Most of us know Gerry and appreciate his decades of service to the NT union movement and continued contributions to the Darwin community. Gerry is a veteran and has been a past Secretary of the Workers Club and ACOA (now CPSU). His current scooter is not safe to ride and he needs a replacement to maintain his mobility and independence. If youd like to help out Gerry, here is the link: https://ca.gofundme.com/f/fjm8t-gerry-needs-a-scooter
