24.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CREW AND AMAZING PERFORMERS AND CULTURAL GROUPS who filmed the HARMONY SOIREE 2020 over the recent weekend with the amazing FORMATION STUDIOS. We can't wait to see the final product. Special thanks to Eunice De Ramos who worked supporting all the groups and made the event such a smooth success. Heres some pics to celebrate. 08.01.2022 Calling all young regional filmmakers! Nextwave, presented by Coffs Harbour’s Screenwave International Film Festival (SWIFF), now in its sixth year is host to Australia’s largest regional youth short film competition - and is free to enter for all young people aged between 10 - 25 years, living outside a metro area! Nextwave has officially extended the film submission deadline, giving lucky regional filmmakers an extra month to enter a film that includes the phrase What’s Ne...xt? for their chance to win thousands of dollars’ worth prizes and have their film screen all around the country as part of Youth Week next year! Some awesome new prizes have also been announced, including 3 amazing Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Cameras 4Ks! These incredible cameras will be awarded to one lucky filmmaker, and Best School (one primary and one secondary) that best support and encourage students to enter films into the competition! This means less items go to landfill and the more I do the mo...re visible I like to make it. I am also making some lavender eye bags for resting the muscles of the eyes and face. I am using up some 'shibori' style dyed fabrics left over from another project.

02.01.2022 Did you know all of these items are collected in Darwin for recycling. DCA staff have been saving our old batteries, pens, ink cartridges and bottle tops. There are various drop off spots around town. We will post links in the comment thread below. Maybe you have some other recycling tips or have setup a recycling hotspot for your workplace or household. Let us know below.
