23.01.2022 RINK BOOKING SUNDAY 13 SEPTEMBER 3:30pm - 5:30pm Skaters and families,... The rink has been booked by Nightcliff University Tigers Hockey Juniors for their awards presentation, and so there will not be a public skating session on Sunday 13 September 3:30pm - 5:30pm. 20.01.2022 Darwin's Germany Community and Darwin Ice Skating are very pleased to host their inaugural GERMAN CHRISTMAS MARKET Kleiner Deutscher Weihnachtsmarkt Darwin Ice Skating Centre Sunday, 13 December 2020, 9am 7pm... During the worldwide pandemic Christmas Markets in Germany and all over the world have been cancelled - but here in Darwin the German Community is bringing this beautiful tradition to the tropics for the first time ever. Bringing a winter Christmas tradition to Darwin in the build-up is no small feat - but thankfully there is one wintery location available in the Top End - the Darwin Ice Skating Centre! Imagine the snow on the ice, Christmas music, the smell of Gluehwein (mulled wine), German Christmas cookies, German arts & craft, ice skating performances, Nikolaus (Santa) appearance and - of course - ice skating! Booking is essential (link here agentur.eventsair.com/germanxmas/2020/Site/Register) and tickets are limited to two hours sessions. Due to COVID-19 and capacity restrictions you can only come to the session times that you have booked. If you would like to extend your stay you will need to book another session either only for the Christmas market or skating if you wish to extend your skating. Please remember to be COVID-19 safe during the event: wash your hands thoroughly | practice physical distancing | don't attend if you feel unwell. Contact tracing information will need to be provided upon entry. As this is a licensed event, you will also need to provide ID upon entry. We look forward to celebrating a traditional German Christmas with you. Many thanks to Britta at Agentur for bringing this to fruition.

02.01.2022 Thanks Kate Worden MLA: Member for Sanderson for attending the finals last night and for presenting your MVP award and trophy. As the new Minister for Sport, couldn’t think of a better advocate for all sports in the Territory given your long-standing involvement as either a parent or administrator. Another great term of ice hockey by all junior players, with notable gains in skills and confidence. The U14s final was a particularly exciting game, with Declan scoring the winning goal seconds from full time. Shout out to parents, coaches, refs and volunteers who have helped during the season.
