20.01.2022 Female Cat and Kittens for Adoption $240 each (includes 1st vac, microchip, desexing) These gorgeous kittens were born at Uni Ave Vets when their heavily pregna...nt stray mum was brought in almost 6 weeks ago, and one of our nurses has been fostering the family ever since. We are now looking to find wonderful homes for them all. Their adoption fees of $240 will include their first vaccination, microchip and desexing - vouchers will be provided for desexing at Uni Ave Vets when 6 months of age. Mum will be vaccinated, microchipped and desexed once her babies have found new homes. She's a lovely cat, very sweet, smoochy and has been a wonderful mum, and deserves to be loved by someone special. There are 2 male and 3 female kittens (see pics), they are being wormed regularly, eating solids well and are all using a litter tray. Almost 6 weeks of age, they will be vet checked, vaccinated and microchipped soon and they will be ready to go to their new homes on the 17th December! If you're interested in providing a wonderful new home for mumma cat or one of these kittens, Bec can be contacted at Uni Ave Vets (8931 0455) or privately via this post

10.01.2022 BEWARE OF HEAT STRESS !!! With the heat wave we're currently experiencing, dogs don't need to be exercising or left in the car to overheat - sometimes it only takes a slight rise in temperature and humidity for a dog to succumb to heat stress. Heat stress is LIFE THREATENING and even if you think your dog has recovered, it's always advisable to get him checked by your vet, as long term damage can occur even from a minor episode of heat stress.... TIPS TO MINIMISE THE RISKS OF HEAT STRESS : * NO exercise, particularly during heat wave weather and extreme temperatures * Provide constant access to cool drinking water and wading pools to chill out in * Keep your pet indoors as much as possible, preferably in airconditioning or a cool room with fans * If outdoors, provide access to plenty of shade, and if possible with fans to help keep cool * Watch for symptoms of heat stress, and call us on 8927 3657 for advice if you"re concerned
