There will also be a range of sundry items available for small donations. 18.01.2022 Great turn out for our charity quilt making day today, the ladies are hard at work fueled by Lindt chocolate and sponge cake

16.01.2022 Hey folks, We need your help. It is getting hard to buy Licenced material as imports from the States and other countries are being affected by COVID (isn't jus...t about everything?). We can't afford to order stuff in from overseas, even if we could wait for the orders to get here. My local ladies have raided our local Spotlight and have tried ordering online from them but we have had little to no luck so I am putting it out to all of you. If you want to support us but you are not a sewer then you might go into your local Spotlight, or quilt shop and see if you can buy us some licenced fabric for us to incorporate in our quilts and bags. You would be surprised how many requests we get for DC and Marvel Superheroes like Thor, Superman, Spiderman, Wonder Woman and so many more. Requests come in for Wiggles, or Paw Patrol and of course all sorts of Pixar stars like Cars and Disney creations. and then there are the ever present Star Wars requests. It would be wonderful to be able to continue to make these requests special for our guys and girls on deployment and we would appreciate any help you can give us. Our postal address is Aussie Hero Quilts, PO Box 248, Cherrybrook, NSW 2126 Please comment below, message me or even email (attn Jan-Maree - Licensed Fabric) if you have questions. Have a great day everyone! Cheers Jan-Maree

11.01.2022 It is with much sadness that I advise the passing of Annie Buckley tonight at Palliative Care, Royal Darwin Hospital. Ally B

11.01.2022 As we are getting ready to say our last goodbyes to Annie Buckley, who passed away on Monday 7th September, some of our members have sent in their favourite photos of Annie and her quilting, and they really do express her character! She joined us in 2009 as a beginner quilter, and went on to hold several roles in our committee over six years including organising our Mt Bundy weekends, our annual raffle quilts, appraising quilts, setting up our Territory Quilts exhibition and ...most importantly organising our quilts of love and other charity quilts. Her enthusiasm and friendship will be missed by many in our club, as she made so many people feel welcome, and was never afraid to roll up her sleeves and get to work. Rest In Peace Annie

She is planning a visit to Darwin in early November, and is happy to service your Sweet 16. She will bring general Handiquilter supplies with her too. If you are having problems, please contact her in the next few days, as she will be leaving home to set off on Saturday 18th October, and may need to order parts for you. She is happy to just give your Swe...et 16 a service. She also repairs and services Pfaff and Husqvarna. Please contact her to book your machine in for a service, or discuss any problems you're having. Her contact details are 0417483712 [email protected] See more
