Casual Contract or Sub-contract, if desired Melbourne East and surrounds "We are looking for individuals who are passionate about empowering and enhancing the lives of those living with a disability and are experiencing mental illness." Service Manager (SM) seeks to facilitate positive individual and social change by assisting people with disability to have valued and quality lives, enable families to remain an important and enduring support and for communities to become more welcoming and inclusive. The SM will manage and support clients and staff. SM will ensure the goals of the service are met by utilising their expertise, leadership and influence, and/or creativeness to formulate an effective team. Your role as SM will often require you to drive long distances to meet and greet with new clients, track NDIS plans and budgets, write progress reports, liaise with the NDIA and other service providers and generally ensure things run to plan. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Excellent people and organisation skills and the ability to coordinate and manage competing priorities. Have full command of English. Knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Kindness, patience and persistence, along with calm resilience. Someone who can overcome daily challenges and stay cool under pressure. Creative and innovative person that can help clients on their path to recovery. Excellent administration skills, strong computer literacy, report writing and financial management abilities. Bring experience and/or qualifications in mental health work or social welfare. SM will need to have a valid Victorian driver’s license and insured vehicle.
