24.01.2022 Footscray Police are appealing for the communities assistance in relation to a collision that occurred on Friday 6th November, 2020. The collision occurred at a...pproximately 6:30am and was on the West Gate Freeway inbound lanes near the Millers Road turn off. The collision was between a 2002 gold Holden Berlina wagon and a grey Ford Kuga wagon with a New South Wales registration. Footscray Police are appealing for anyone who saw these two vehicles, the collision or has dash cam footage of the incident to either contact Footscray Police Station on (03) 8398 9800 or make a report via Crime Stoppers on 1300 333 000

23.01.2022 What about Sunday Morning when someone let all the pushbike's out of isolation riding 3 wide on the road and cars having to just sit behind them because they are blatantly disobeying the road rules taking up a full lane, we as car drivers are supposed to give at least a meter when passing them but when they tide 3 wide it's impossible to pass without going into the wrong side of the road and on Mountain Hwy just like any other road you can't cross double lines.....

It is hard to see if the truck ran the red (probably or at least late into the yellow), but the car at the end definitely did!

22.01.2022 Here is one for the wet weather the other day, this corner has it's problems for sure, people have problems indicating from Chandler Rd to Floriston Rd, they al...so seem to have issues with obeying the Give Way sign too lol....what a #wetweathernoob #nufties #excellentdrivingskills #almostcausedasmash I think the rules are that if you are travelling Eastbound on Chandler Rd you must give way at the Give Way sign which is on the corner of Chandler Rd and Floriston Rd, you are supposed to give way to traffic that is travelling Westbound and traffic that is travelling Northbound especially in the wet, and i think technically you are supposed to indicate when you are travelling Westbound into Floriston Rd from Chandler Rd and likewise if you are travelling Northbound from Floriston Rd into Chandler Rd, any thoughts are welcome.....

20.01.2022 Ok so in this case i think maybe that the cars should not have come to a complete stop adjacent to the Police vehicle, and in doing so have caused a dangerous situation, however on a good day you should be able to see Red & Blue lights from a distance ?? so why was the truck driver moving still at normal speeds ?? the car drivers should definitely not have done what they did but the truck being higher up, and having a better view of the traffic situation should have started to slow his rig down further off to give himself/herself the room to come to a complete stop safely if needed instead of remaining at the speed limit....

If you are using the Nanocam Plus Dash Cam you are indeed able to access any footage if the Police needs your footage immediately directly from your Nanocam Plus smartphone app, by selecting "Album" then on the next screen you select DVR and then it takes you to all your recorded footage and gives you the option to download and save the files needed :)

11.01.2022 HIGHWAY PATROL REPORT; Monday 10th of August 2020; At about 4:00PM today, a silver Subaru sedan collided with the rear of a Nissan four-wheel drive on Albert Av..., Boronia. The silver Subaru had been observed driving erratically prior to the incident. Two young children in the Nissan were conveyed to hospital for precautionary checks. The 29-year-old female driver of the Subaru and her passenger received minor injuries and were treated by paramedics at the scene. The driver also returned a positive result for illicit drugs. She will face Court at a future date charged with careless driving, unlicenced driving and drug-driving offences. This incident should serve as a warning to anyone who thinks that taking drugs and getting behind the wheel is a good idea. It was extremely fortunate on this occasion that no one was more seriously injured or killed. 11.01.2022 Police are appealing for witnesses / dash cam footage which observed two erratically driven vehicles described as a 2005 blue Ford Falcon and the other a silver... /grey Hyundai iLoad van in the Werribee / Hoppers Crossing area on the 4th May 2020 between 6:00PM and 7:30PM. 09.01.2022 Hello everyone we at Dash Cam Owners Victoria do indeed take road safety as paramount especially in this day and age, we recieved a video in regards to a pretty... horrific smash on the M5 in Cambletown in New South Wales, the footage contained some extremely graphic and horrific scenes of deceased persons and on this occasion due to the horrific nature and circumstances of the incident. When I first received the video I thought I was going to see someone cutting someone else off but instead I witnessed footage that will stay with me due to its graphic nature, what I viewed cut right to my heart at the fact that people would want to share this on social media full stop..... And after a meeting with and upon advisement of Victoria Police we will not post this up due to the amount of trauma this could cause if it was indeed circulated further on social media. (New South Wales Police) are aware of this incident and are investigating how and why this footage was circulated in the first instance !! Even though we are all aware that Facebook has certainly rules and guidelines to follow and most of the time they are a slow to act and get this sort of thing taken down, myself and the members of Victoria Police agreed this would indeed be cutting a close to breaking thise rules. Ihave found out further information on this incident to which I was absolutely horrified and what I heard from Victoria Police was totally abhorrent and just downright disrespectful to the family and should never have taken place... Furthermore I understand where the person that sent this to us is coming from with wanting the message of road safety to get out there by way of this video but in this case as i previously stated out of respect to the family and friends of the persons featured in this footage I will not be posting this up. 04.01.2022 COLLISION REPORT; Friday 23rd of October 2020; Lysterfield Rd, Lysterfield;... At about 2:30PM yesterday, a 26-year-old male driver lost control of his vehicle on a bend before running off the road and overturning. It was very lucky that no other vehicles were involved. The man sustained a suspected broken limb as a result of the collision and was conveyed to hospital. He was fortunate to escape more serious injury. Drugs and alcohol have been ruled out. The man’s vehicle was found to have four worn tyres. He will be issued with a $413 penalty notice for driving a defective vehicle. Motorists are reminded to drive to the conditions and ensure that their vehicle is correctly maintained. At the very minimum, check that your tyres have sufficient tread depth and ensure that all of your lights are operational. #operationsaturn #highwaypatrol #victoriapolice #roadtozero
