21.01.2022 I CANNOT WAIT to be able to get on the beach again! If theres one thing I have definitely learnt recently, it's how much being able to go to the beach every week was one of the things that makes me the happiest! Having a bit of time away from the normal world has definitely allowed me to zero in on what's important in life.... 17.01.2022 I used to really care what people thought. What they thought about me, what I did, how I looked, if they liked me or not, if they thought I was funny... The list goes on. Sound familiar?... One day it finally clicked with me that happiness comes from within. Not like a super spiritual woo woo light bulb moment, but more that seeking to be someone you're not to be "accepted" is a game you can't win. Why can't you win? Because some people just won't like you for whatever reason, they don't vibe with you. Also it's really tiring trying to "be something" or "be someone" and it's actually quite a release to just relax and appreciate that you can only have so many friends and an even smaller amount that will truly care about you and you can give your best attention to. Once you do this it's great to allow some people to naturally fall by the way side while you strengthen relationships with the people who just love you for what you are.... and I found that the bit of me that others didn't like, my true friends love them as my "quirks". I even had a friend comment that it was nice to see a bit of the "old Dave" come back. So be like Tom. Be you. Love you self. Give Zero Fucks to what other people think. Just be you in all your awesomeness and bathe in the love of your true friends whilst relieving yourself of the burden of trying to please people who probably only pretend to like you anyway.
