23.01.2022 SELF SABOTAGE - It's not as simple as the combination of the two words meaning someone who sabotages self. Self sabotage is actually a conflict of values, an unconscious defence mechanism that we use to prevent rejection from our herd... The two most common values that often are in conflict are: ... RELATIONSHIPS (including relationship with self, family, friends, environment) along with MONEY (and the meaning we give it) One of our primal instincts is a default for us to have a sense of belonging... This gives us comfort and certainty. If we continually surround ourselves and foster relationships with a herd that supports us, empowers us, and has a positive influence on our life, then our thinking and way of being aligns with that herd. On the other hand, if instead we nourish relationships with those that have a dysfunctional correlation on our values such as relationships and money, we by nature start to become part of that herd. Surrounding ourselves with functional money thinkers and high quality relationship builders, in order to learn from their insights and model their behaviours, could be a great way to deal with self sabotage in these areas... Your herd can make you or break you, the decision is up to you.

22.01.2022 How many things have you put off or procrastinated about because of poor Self-belief? The funny thing is, we create and manifest these beliefs ourselves. Whether your beliefs are good, poor or indifferent, theyre a choice and a learnable skill. Youre born into this world with no sense of what you can or cant do. Its your life experiences, and the meanings you choose to give or associate with those experiences, that over time, bit by bit, have taught you to limit yourself.... When you find yourself thinking or expressing a limiting belief, ask yourself How did I arrive at this belief? What was the feelings and emotions of the experience at the time, and what was the meaning you chose to give to it. Go back in time, think about what happened. Was there additional evidence around that perhaps you ignored in the moment, could this bring some new light or alternate meaning, and assist you to re-program the belief of the experience? Self-belief is about focusing on who you are becoming, not the baggage of the past. Its giving yourself the permission to learn and grow, to make mistakes, and seeing them for what they really are: temporary setbacks. 22.01.2022 Claim your calendar before someone else does. Clarity and structure are important aspects of managing your day, week and month. Clarity comes from knowing the areas of your life you wish to prioritise or focus on, and the reasons why this is important to you.... Structure is scheduling in the time to attend to the steps or tasks you need to do in order to achieve the desired outcomes. Having a regular time slot each week to review your past week, and preview the week ahead, is a fundamental step towards high achievement and productivity across all aspects of your life.

Some of these are made with a conscious awareness, while others sit within our unconsciousness, keeping us safe and in our comfort zone, and we aren’t even aware that we are doing it. With awareness, you can come to appreciate the short and long-term consequences that are tied to your everyday actions.... 06.01.2022 When we are on the precipice of change within, our ego is loudest. Our ego likes to keep us safe. Whether it's acting functionally or difunctionally it wants to maintain the familiar and keep us in our comfort zone. This is where the likes of self doubt, procrastination, overwhelm and anxiety often rear it's head when trying to implement change or growth in our lives.

06.01.2022 Sometimes you need to "lean in" a little. High speed curves can be fun, but if you try and take them in an upright position, you wont hold your line through the bend. Life lessons are the same, lean in, enjoy the ride and feel the exhilaration of the lesson propelling you forward.

The thing is, its not about the size of the steps, its all about taking the steps in the first place.... When we arent taking steps, we erode away at our self-confidence and self-esteem, and the more we procrastinate, the bigger the fear, the anxiety, and the self-doubt that begins to grow inside us. So even if its just the smallest of steps, take it take another and step again Keep taking steps every single day, even the smallest of steps will be propelling you forward towards your goals, building confidence, building belief, building YOU!

04.01.2022 Do you find yourself holding onto a Fixed Mindset, or do you foster a Mindset of Growth? Perhaps you notice that from time to time, you feel elements of both... We can choose to shift our thinking if we pay attention to it. The thing is, it takes self-awareness to do this, which is a growth mindset.... So in those moments, when you see, feel, hear or know that you've dug your heels in and don't want to budge on your position, take a moment...to open it up...to question it. And have the humility to say "I think I might like to rethink that".

Do you find yourself holding onto fixed ideas and status quo in your ways of thinking, or do you open up to possibilities when new ideas or suggestions come to light? Perhaps you've even noticed it's possible to be on both sides of the equation, but our previous experiences, upbringing, beliefs and personal preferences, all have an influence. ... We can choose to shift our thinking if we pay attention to it. The thing is, it takes self-awareness to do this, which is a growth mindset. Next time you find yourself in a situation where you've dug your heels in, and you feel yourself holding firm on a position unwilling to budge, take a moment... open it up... question it. Is there new information available to me, or a factor that I have not taken into consideration beforehand, to upgrade my perspective on the situation, And have the humility to say "I think I might like to rethink that".
