22.01.2022 Ok I had to retire that favourite shirt to be guitar cleaning cloths only recently, but it’s time to focus on finishing some songs that have been half written for many years, recording too ...!!

14.01.2022 I started writing a song entitled Ghost Town but I see the Rolling Stones beat me to it .... I think my song would be a lot different lol Should I now persevere with the song ?

13.01.2022 Such lovely weather up here at the moment, inspiring time to sit out on the deck steps, on my specially designed corner space, specially designed for a left handed guitarist, well I say it was specially designed but it just work out that way when the steps were built with the deck. I've sat out there quite a few times with my guitar and a cup of tea or a Whiskey or lately a Guinness, the Stout brings back fond memories of our travels to Ireland and other places in Europe just... on a year ago. We are so lucky that we were able to travel to Europe for 6 weeks last year, seeing as all travel this year is so severely impacted. Stay Strong everyone and play some music. Namaste.

13.01.2022 A great unstructured jam yesterday, A relatively young fella who’s visiting Quorn and I played some great music, which I didn’t record or even take photos of but my mind will remember at least until it stops working as well lol We jammed on originals and a few oldie covers.... he’s a great guitar player and has a great grasp on chord structures and scales, it’s going to be a sad day when he goes back home again, I’ve enjoyed his different approach to songs, I’ve learnt a bit ...of new stuff, hopefully I’ve passed on a little of my musical knowledge as old as most of is. I used my TC Helicon Voice Live Pedal and I’m still learning how to get the most out of it, I love the vocal effects but I know it freaks a few other players out if I use it at a musical gathering. It’s mine so I’ll use it when I can. No photos but here’s a picture of this ancient old keyboard that I got for $20 .... it’s scratchy and nasty but there are some cool old sounds in there still ! Rock On.... or Folk On .... whatever musically floats your canoe !

01.01.2022 Might be a good afternoon for some music practice, cool and slightly wet. Better practice a bit so people that listen want to stay and listen and support some live music in the area when we can play out and about.
